Had them come round fix my chimney after we were getting a leak come through to our bedroom. Did a fair assessment, actually explained the problem to me (unlike other people who I got to do quotes) and laid out a time scale to complete the work, which they were totally compliant with. Found the price fair in comparison to the range of quotes I received and having known someone they did work for who recommended me the company, found them to be totally reliable and trustworthy.Would highly recommend.

These guys were very difficult to deal with. We wanted a roof survey carried out for a property we were buying. But scheduling a surveyor to visit turned into a nightmare- with the appointment being moved out twice, holding up our purchase. And then we had to follow up about 10 times before we got the report as well. Overall at an already stressful time (house purchase)- these guys made it a lot harder than it needed to be. How difficult can it be to schedule an appointment and keep to timings- on the survey, on the report etc? These are the basics of running a professional company- which they are not. Very amateurish. I would not use again.

I rung this company having read some not so positive reviews hoping they were wrong but sadly most negative reviews about customer care seemed to reflect my experience. The roofers might be great, but was hard to get past the unfriendly receptionist. Perhaps others will have better luck!

Booked in a slot online, had a confirmation via email and text message, seemed all professional and reassuring.Had someone wait in that morning and 2hours later from the appointment time still no show. A few calls to their office to get through and the lady stated there was no appointment booked, then on further investigation she happened to find my appointment which wasn't put in surveyor's diary. There was a faint hearted sorry but then no effort to try make amends for the mistake and only offered a viable date 17days later. This is not a 'do not use' review just my experience, be your own judge.

Made an appointment. Roofer did not show up. No telephone call made by company. Left message to follow up if the roofer was coming. No telephone call for two weeks. Phoned again. Receptionist said they turned up but no one was home. Wife and I were both home. Did not hear a knock or telephone call to check. Did not receive a telephone reply to my message. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but instead of being apologetic and taking responsibility for the company she laughed it off. It is a shame as I wanted to use a local company and heard about the company through word of mouth.

Barris Roofing were fantastic in a roofing emergency, they came and sorted the problem quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend.

Tried to get a quote from Barris roofing over summer to repair or replace our roof. Was a very challenging company to deal with.To try and get a quote I emailed (with a set of photos of the property).For the first quote attempt we arranged an hour window. No one appeared, I called the office and was told the estimator was on another job and couldn't make it for two hours.For the second quote attempt I enlisted a family member who could stay for longer in case the estimator was delayed, however when he turned up and looked at the property he said he would need a drone which he didn't have with him.For the third quote attempt having called the office and complained we were told that this could be done without us there as they only needed a drone to look at the roof. This was arranged for the next week, I called a few days after the date to see if we could have the quote, however it couldn't be found. I ended up chasing the quote for a week before finding out that the drone used for quoting was in repair and actually no one had gone to the property.At this point it was over a month later and I gave up trying to get a quote. All in all a very frustrating and stressful experience.Edit - Thank-you for the response. I'm sorry to hear that there have been ongoing personal health issues for you and your family and my sympathies are with you. In the future I would recommend being more transparent about this (where possible), to enable your customers to understand.

Very pleased with the service from Barris Roofing. We have a building with tricky access at times and they have been very accommodating, sending the cherry picker out for survey and work which has saved us money on scaffold. They have made recommendations for a number of small maintenance works and managed to book us in promptly. They really know their stuff. Happy customer here.
