I have been here twice and been very happy both times. I had crab which was better in terms of flavour and value than most and another good dish. My sister had a really lovely, clearly homemade soup that tasted lovely and fresh. The prices are good for the quality

A lovely local pub - full of locals who know each other. Friendly staff and excellent food. A great place to stop for a quick meal.

Mortified that even after ordering my food as gf they totally disregarded that and brought me out scallops covered in croutons ( non gf ) when I told them what happened they took food back to the kitchen and just removed the croutons ( clearly chef knows nothing of cross contamination ) so not only did they bring me back cold scallops but they failed to remove all the croutons , then to add insult to injury management dissappeard and sent a young waitress who was also embarrassed by the whole thing bless her , probably the only decent thing about the whole experience was the great customer service from said waitress , in a nutshell I spent the night throwing up after tasting the food and honestly I'm mortified that a establishment like this has a serious disregard to a very serious allergy, never going back , disgusted

It took us almost ten hours to drive here so a lean to with a camp bed would have seemed nice. As it is though, they kept a table for us and we had a very pleasant dinner complemented by lovely service. Our room was interesting. To say the floor was sloping was an understatement. I reckon with a decent covering of snow I could ski it. The decor was eclectic and the bath with the sit down shower was something we hadn't seen in a while. As for the TV it was at the far ( lower) end of the room and was the smallest screen I've seen in a very long time.We had two good breakfasts though it had to be said one was just on the cool side of warm. The other was just right. All in all a pleasant couple of days thanks to the staff. Good for them

My friend and I stopped at Badgers for lunch. We were so pleased we did. The garden is beautiful, the service very good and food excellent. We would certainly go back if we lived closer.
