Base Pads

We have been using Base Pads for a number of years and have found them to be professional, approachable and very honest.We used them to source and manage properties in the Oldham area and being based in London, this has allowed us an opportunity to invest in an area of higher yield with lower deposits and less risk. They are experienced landlords and having an extensive portfolio themselves, I have felt that the team at Base Pads have always treated our properties with the same level of care and consideration as they have their own. Catherine in particular has shown amazing attention to detail when managing the properties and also by looking after the tenants well, this has been able to minimise void periods and ensure that the properties are well looked after. Being hands off, I can say that in this situation, you get what you pay for and although I am sure we could find an agent with lower management fees (we currently pay 15%), I am pretty sure we would not be looked after anywhere near as well and would be treated as just another landlord. In the long run we have also benefiting greatly from their contacts in the building, finance and insurance professions so they have offered a complete package whether you are an experienced landlord or not.

We were tenants for two years as students and loved every second. As our first time renting privately, we could not have wished for better landlords for our first experience. Catherine and Darren were always quick to reply and respond to any issues that arose (of which there were very few). Within the day they would always have sorted, arranged a replacement or someone to come and fix whatever the problem was. They listened to our requests, and where possible would accommodate them. It is a lovely house, newly decorated and well-kept- especially when compared to the standard of most student properties. We always felt secure and supported with payments and deposits. Compared to some of the nightmare stories we have heard from other students, we have not once had any problems with Catherine and Darren. They are fantastic landlords and incredibly nice and friendly people. I cannot recommend them and this house enough for anyone looking to rent
