Sandscape Kids Play and Cafe
First time coming to this new play cafe, overall a good experienceThough was surprised you had to pay to go into the sandpit/play area. It’s £7.50 for an hour, my 2 year old roughly stayed in there for about 40mins and was done so I doubt you will require more time in there. The cafe itself is quite small so don’t expect a huge play area - I did however like the fact I can eat and drink my coffee in peace while being able to see my child playing happily so it being an intimate space is a positive! They don’t have a proper kitchen so you’ll expect croissants, pastry’s, muffins that kinda food. Their coffee was pretty decent, so that’s a plus. It’s quite nice to have a play area close to me as I would usually go to the snug cafe on green lanes though that does get quite busy so I guess sandacape charging that fee helps mitigate a crowded space as it’s already quite small. The staff were friendly, though the young lady manning the play area could have done with a coffee as she seemed quite unhappy the other lady that took her place as she took her break seemed more into it and seemed to like helping the kids and genuinely liked being there!

If you’re a parent of a young child, this place is a much welcome respite for the neighbourhood. They’ve only just opened, but it was such a relief to have a nice warm place for my kid to play on a blusteringly cold day. The food, pastry, juice and coffee menu is minimal but enough to keep parents occupied while their little ones play. The staff are very warm and friendly, and the cafe is clean and inviting. We’ll definitely be back but I do wonder how much of that sand will still be in the play area in a year’s time.

I was super excited to take my children to this. A new play cafe close to home which is clean! Imagine my disappointment to see that it’s £7.50 PER CHILD(!) to play for an hour. I have two children, that’s £15 plus coffee, snacks etc. In my opinion this is extremely expensive when there are other play cafes that are free when going a little further. I understand the economy at the moment and at a push I would have paid a few ££s but I refuse to pay £7.50 per child for a play cafe. It seems a great idea so I hope the consider lowering their play price. The atmosphere was nice, Christmas songs, clean and decent variety of teas etc (not that I had anything)

I heard of this place in a whatsapp group for parents and was super excited. I came with my two children and the place is small but looks nice&clean. My children wanted to go immediately to the sandy play area but unfortunately the price is shockingly expensive. It is £7.50 per hour per child, which would mean €15 for me for one hour for two children. I talked to the owner (super friendly) about this but he would not like to accommodate to giving a discount for siblings. I cannot comment about the prices in the cafe as I have left with very disappointed children. I hope the place adjust the prices, I would be happy to pay £12 for 1.5 hour for both children, most play areas (dreami comes to my mind) have this price or have free play areas. It might work with one child families, tho. Good luck with the new business.

It's so great to have a new soft play open in the area, I was excited to try it out but left disappointed.I'm really shocked that you have to pay £7.50 for an hour, per child! This is very expensive!! Especially if you have more than one child with you. The play area is nice, but small for the price. The staff didn't seem very happy and the woman checking your 'ticket' came across quite cold. It felt like the staff were monitoring you and your kids which was weird. It wasn't a very relaxing play experience. This place has potential to be a big hit but not at this price. They would do way better if it was free or only a few £. This would also encourage people to buy coffees and cakes. As I paid £7.50 for entry I didn't want to spend any more on food or drink.
