Was here for a conference. Love this venue. Lots of toilets and good comfortable seats in the main theatre. Easy to find accommodation within a short walking distance. Easy to park and great location for restaurants.

We came here to the Symphony Hall to see The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. I've been here many times before to attend:GraduationsCashflow meetupsConferencesThe staff are very professional, well mannered and always happy to help. The facilities are always kept clean. Perhaps the Gentleman's should be cleaned more frequently than the ladies as, men's bathrooms always stink.

Great venue for conferences. Very well signposted within the building. Plenty of toilet facilities and most of the toilets are clean. Conveniently located with plenty of restaurant and bar options around the Convention Centre. There is a Starbucks and a cloakroom within the convention centre as well which comes in handy if you need a quick bite or somewhere to store your belongings.

The International Convention Centre is somewhat anonymous on the outside and the entrance (that we used) was not particularly impressive. Maybe we didn't experience the full wonder of the building, but we did spent quite a bit of time in the atrium, The Symphony Hall, the reception areas outside the Symphony Hall and some of the rooms on the other side of the atrium. The interior of the Conference Centre uses the steel structure as a design feature and is painted blue. The lifts and stairs fit in around the supporting structure and are glass sided so that the light and views within the building are not obstructed. The building is fully accessible and works well as a social space on a wet and windy day in late October. There were a lot of people in the building (OU Degree Conferment Ceremony), but it never felt too busy and the lifts and toilets never felt overwhelmed and there were no queues. The staff were lovely. I took the opportunity to ask about the building and also to get directions and the people I spoke with were friendly and seemed happy to be working there. It was interesting to get a perspective on what had been here and to understand a little bit about the people that lived and worked in the area.A really good venue and if I was still involved in booking conferences, hosting people from around the world, I would definitely talk to the people here. A good place to visit.

I know there's a cost of living crisis going on right now but if you can afford an evening out to see an Orchestra perform, and you've never done so before... Honestly, do it! It's out of my comfort zone but I'm beyond glad that I did. There's nothing like hearing some epic movie favourites performed in such an acoustic and enchanting concert hall. Support the arts! (Edit: This was LOTR and Beyond, at the Symphony Hall)

It's a big convention centre in Birmingham. If you're planning a big convention in Birmingham, it's a place you'll want to check out. It also has an art shop so if you're at a conference and you inexplicably want a large painting from a superhero comic then check that out too. Or maybe a print of a painting of a couple dancing on a beach. Or some weird colourful cows.
