Birch Grove Healthcare Ltd

My wife stayed at Birch Grove for three months whilst awaiting results of tests for progressive dementia and her decreasing mobility, plus a care package that was also needed to be put into place. She had a very comfortable time and was very well looked after by the superb staff. The surroundings are a little dated but the building does date back to Georgian times, the food is excellent in every way and her room was very comfortable. My thanks goes again to the Manager and all the dedicated staff for all that was done for her.

The care my aunt received was really personal and they made her last years very comfortable.

All the staff and management at Birch Grove provided a very high level of care and support for my Mother who was there on a respite placement for six weeks following a hospital admission for a fall. They were always kind, friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. In particular my thanks go to Manager Sarabjit, Administrator Sadie and activities co-ordinators Steve ('Soul Man' )and Ricardo who provided constant support and assistance with our facetimes and visits during what was a fairly challenging time. You really helped Mum to get back on the road to recovery and she will miss you all !

Placing a loved one in a nursing home can be difficult and how do you know which home is the right one. I can speak from experience...... My mom stayed 9 months at Birch Grove and was cared for and Nursed hourly. The love, care and attention was wonderful to see and made me feel at rest knowing mom was in really good hands. I felt one of the family and built up great relationships with the staff. When my mom passed away the compassion and love was there in abundance. Thank you Birch Grove for making my moms end of life the most comfortable she could of had. Tintu, Sarabjit, Anna, Paskira, Toskira to name a few I cannot thank you enough. THANK YOU

This place needs fake reviews from staff to seem better than they are. That should already give you a huge red flag for the place. Please avoid sending your family here if you want them to be treated like actual human beings. The place is ran by staff and management that barely speak English, which you can imagine how that works out for residents living with dementia. All they care about is money.

Lovely home; lots of well planned activities and entertainment relevant to the residents. Great meals and an excellent focus on keeping residents hydrated. Genuinely caring staff who are clearly happy in their work. I agree with the other comment here - definitely made to feel part of the family, and confident my mother is safe and well.

My mother has been staying here since mid December, she came in under Palliative care program following heart valve Op and was bed ridden from weeks in hospital bed.I asked for assistance for Physiotherapy and the senior nurse gave me assistance and asked for the GP to assess her and medical care for recuperation program.After a few months Physio came in to assist me with exercises to get her out of bed and eventually walking and now off she wanders to the park in the sunshine!!The staff have been absolutely brilliant from the cleaners, kitchen staff all the carers senior nurses and as for the manager Sarabjit well what can I say!!Its been a pleasure dealing with her she runs a tight ship and nothing is too much trouble and any issues are dealt with swiftly.All of the staff have been friendly helpful and all seem to really enjoy their roles and helping their patients/ residents as well as their friends family members who visit.The home organises many activities for the residents and have monthly entertainers come in and the staff put on events such as Xmas Mothers Day Easter and the Coronation which gets the residents together and friends family come too.I have kept this short but I would not hesitate in recommending Birchgrove Nursing Home and if you want to hear first hand my experiences I would be happy to talk to you directly as would my mother.

My friend is currently staying at Birch Grove. The whole team has been very welcoming, caring and kind. My friend is enjoying a new, fun life at the age of 90, making new connections with the other people who live there while being surrounded by a great professional team. I have trust in the people who support my friend. I am grateful for their kind care and the activities and events for the people who live at Birch Grove. I recommend Birch Grove as a place for people who may be isolated or lonely, as there is always someone close by to keep people safe.

My mother has been a resident of Birchgrove for 2 years and during that time she has been well cared for and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. We had a poor nursing experience at a previous home so I was very cautious when seeking a new home for mum. The senior team will always speak with me if I have any concerns about her and most importantly mum is happy!

My husband and I were recommended Birch Grove when we looking for somewhere to care for my father-in-law in Brighton near us. After visiting a few homes in the city, first impressions with Birch Grove was that it was friendly and real. The decor wasn't perfect, but it was clean and the feel of the place immediately struck a chord. We felt an immediate sense of trust and confidence in the manager Claire and deputy manager Preetha and I am pleased to say that this turned out to be justified. In fact all of the staff were very caring, capable and personable on all of our visits and my father-in-law made no complaints at all throughout his short stay. He arrived at Birch Grove in ill health and sadly he deteriorated due to his frailty and old age, having been a resident for only a month. The staff nursed him with dignity, right up until the end, when he passed with his family around him. Thanks you Birch Grove, we are very glad we chose you.
