After a poor experience at another well known high street chain I decided to go back to what I call a proper opticians and I’m very glad I did. After 18 months of thinking I was going mad with my sight I finally got the right prescription. Excellent service, good choice of frames etc. really friendly staff so much so I signed up to the care plan to spread my costs and get discounts on new glasses as needed which I have just benefited from. Highly recommend. KL

Having used a national chain of opticians previously, I made the change to Rawlings because of the specialist services they offered (sports specific spectacles). So glad I made the change as there really was a step up in the level and comprehensiveness of the service. The optician was brilliant and I now know so much more about my eyes.

I’ve been going to Rawlings for over 20 years. I’ve only ever been super impressed with the care and service I’ve received over the years - which included the early diagnosis of a cyst behind my eye, which would have resulted in surgery had it not been found so quickly. The staff have always been very professional, friendly and helpful. I’d not hesitate to recommend Rawlings to anyone!

I had Blephrex treatment for Blepharitis and dry eyes. Whilst it wasn't the most pleasant experience it wasn't painful and Debbie was great. She made me as comfortable as possible and chatted with me which defitely helped. Debbie was very professional and friendly and I would happily recommend. TE. Visited 7/10/23

Excellent eye examination! The professional team provided a warm welcome, and the equipment was state-of-the-art. The doctor was exceptional, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the field and explaining every aspect of the examination clearly. They attentively listened to my concerns about my vision and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I appreciated their empathetic approach and the time taken to understand my individual needs. I was not altogether satisfied I had previously had problems with some glasses the prescription was theirs. Don’t feel I had a proper explanation of my difficulties. Rachel seemed to give me an excellent examination. But was not really told if I needed new glasses and didn’t feel the dispenser was keen to proceed. Some of their frames are lovely but very very expensive. Despite being very happy in the past with my treatment feel I may now go elsewhere.

I think one of the most unique things I can say about Rawlings is that I can book and see the same optician year on year, so there is a continuity between each eye test. The service is excellent as is the range of services they offer.Though they are a little expensive it is essential to have an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan - it may well save your eyesight!
