The Food Warehouse by Iceland

Run by Iceland this warehouse is a new build and consideration for disability is very visible here . The store itself can be approached from two directions .One is of Manningham Lane itself , and the other is via A6181 Hamm Strasse turning onto Houghton place .It is a business park and has a good amount of parking . There are however only 4 disabled parking bays here. Two immediately to the right of the main entrance and two more in front of entrance on first row of spaces . Mother and baby parking also here. There are three trolley bays that I could see but the one directly in front not done yet.There are no dropped kerbs directly to store from disabled spaces on the right but to be fair they had made the whole concourse at the front a dropped kerb . So from there on in the whole surface is flat and level . The entrance door is glass and slides left and right automatically on approach . Also please not that on the left hand door is a disability Bell . If you need help when you get to the store press the bell and someone will come to your assistance .(see pic) The exit is located at the far end of the building behind the checkouts .The first thing I noticed is the space to move around ! My wheelchair is large , but I was able to travel freely right around the store even where the staff were putting out stock and dodging the promotion bins in the aisles . Everything seems larger here and there are catering and laundry packs galore.I counted 10 rows of freezers then a few of general supermarket goods .I’m sure you’ll appreciate I couldn’t photograph everything and I couldn’t see into the freezers from my lowered height. I did notice tho that there were 5 freezers allocated to “Slimming World “ !!There are 6 checkouts , 2 of which are designated for disability as they are wider aisles.There are NO public restrooms/toilets on site.The staff were extremely friendly and helpful .Apologies for the standard of pics . They are all from a wheelchair and even tho it appears from them the store was empty this was not the case . It became busier as the afternoon progressed so I may have missed a few things . However I hope this gives you an insight of what this new store is like

Its ok but freezers are empty all time cause all Bradford takeaways shop here iceland don't care been intouch with them avoid unless u are desperate

Extremely busy shop. Home delivery available. Great range of products for home and family.

Shop is great however recently got fined and found out once you go to the shop you can’t return within 4 hours or it’s a 100£ fine or 60£ paid within 14 days so be aware. Imagine leaving your phone and going back or a bag of groceries and then having to go back. Abysmal

I'm stopping my shopping here. Everytime I go in, there's some offer in the fridges. 3 for £5. It sounds good until you're at the till. Half the items scanned are not part of the deal, even though the marketing on the shelves literally says it is. I've raised this three times and all I get back is well it is not part of the deal

Some things are cheap like I bought 4x24 cans of drinks for £30 wich was very cheap. Sometimes they have good frozen items. I only really come here if I need drinks. Not a main place for shopping. Just a quick stop by for certain things. Clean place staff are good. Never really too busy.

Disgusting store!! Like the management are blind. Come one guys sort your act out this is a hazard to customers!

Today I went here and I saw a blade on the shop floor and this is unexpectable like what if a kid saw it and cut there finger, it is clear the workers here don't care and I also saw workers here doing nothing but talking none stop this is unexpectable

The kids that work here as packers they are constantly shouted at verbaly abused by the new managers the shifts are taken of them and given to the white people and when you try and talk to them they start screaming at the young asian kids that are working there even saying leave if you dont like it here i have tried to call HR but they are not bothered about the asian staff getting abused verbaly .when JP the previous manager was there they spoke to the asian kids nicely but these 2 new ones are just on a power trip will try and contact HR again.
