The Fat Boar Mold
Visited this evening. Service was poor, tables greasy, side plates dirty and staff were trying but not delivering the usual level of service expected. Huge delay on drinks at start and nearly 45 minutes before anyone came to take a food order. Had to return drinks, second batch not much better - either syrup running out or the machines broke. Most flat, watered down pepsi I’ve ever had. Wrong wine brought over too. Forgot to remove booking charge from bill initially, got to wonder how many people fall for this after a few drinks! Food was good when it eventually arrived. Had a few meals here in the past but definitely going downhill.

Went to the fat boar on Saturday with friends for the afternoon tea with unlimited cocktails. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco as soon as we were seated. The food was amazing and drinks were amazing we fitted in every cocktail and more in the 2hr slot. Our table team Emily and Alex were very friendly and made our afternoon feel special 5* s

Considering we walked in two minutes before they stopped serving on a Sunday night, the front of house team made our experience really lovely.The family next to us were very satisfied and happily full when they left, and soon we were too.Great atmosphere, great food, lovely find for a quiet Sunday in Mold. Would recommend to sports fans who can watch on their own telly in a snug out back, or a few cocktails in a good looking watering-hole in the bar.

Not impressed. We ordered 2 Sunday special boxes. Food came just about warm, burger was ment to have cheese and bacon on, the bread had mould on it and the box looked nothing like the picture on facebook. Absolutely disgusting, not enjoyable. We have been to the restaurant and had delivery’s 1-2 years ago and food was really good. But we hadn’t ordered in a while, the standard has dropped and the food is no longer enjoyable. Luckily, they gave a refund.

Had a nice meal out for my birthday. We ordered way too much food but it was a good selection. The salt and pepper chips were amazing! But the garlic bread was a bit burnt (although the waiter did take it off the bill which was very nice of him). The cocktail was absolutely delicious and the waiter was lovely. Would go back again.

We visited tonight 23.11.23 just for drinks after Christmas shopping. As I was ordering a drink at the bar I looked through to the open kitchen to see a chef blow his nose on paper towel then discard it. Without washing his gloved hands then proceeded to chop up food throwing it into a pan. Considering the recent 0 hygiene rating we thought things might have improved.My husband used the disabled downstairs toilet before we left brown stains on the floor by the pan.We won't be going back.

It was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Garlic mushroom starter was a taste sensation. Staff were really friendly, service was a little slow, but they have only reopened, and we were having such a good time didnt notice. Would highly recommend

My first time here. Just visiting. Was so nice and food was plentiful that I’m going back tomorrow. Service was lovely. Had a great welcome from the manager. Highly recommend going to the Fat Boar.

We’ve wanted to visit for some time now, so glad we finally have, and we weren’t disappointed. Your staff are wonderful- everyone of them tonight (Thursday 3rd November) couldnt have been a better experience. Food was lovely- really tasty and presented beautifully.We were a little surprised kids eat free this week 3 courses (Welsh half term) yay a lovely surprise. Thank you

No Christmas atmosphere where we were seated, the service got off to a bad start, waited an hour for our starter,, leaving us with no wine for main, as we had drank the bottle during the long wait, had to ask where our starters were, if we hadn’t the wait could have been longer. Food average, edible, presentation poor.Disappointing after the wait for reopening.No mirror in toilet downstairs…. Why?
