Patisserie Valerie - Cribbs
Very very disappointed. I went there two days ago at around 10:50 am. Waited more than 15 minutes at the “please wait to be seated” sign with my 3 year old. There was no excuse - half of the seats were empty, both waitress saw us many times but both kept ignoring us. It only took less than 1 minute to take us to any seat and give us a menu and we would actually stayed because we really wanted to!!! Other people in front of us left as well - same situation!

The food was disappointing. The eggs Royal was obviously sitting on the side for ages before being served - the hollandaise sauce was clotted, and the eggs were rubbery. My wife had the sausage skillet - the sausage was dry, but they didn't even have any ketchup. On a positive note the staff were friendly.

Oh dear. Although there seemed to be lots of staff around, service was far from good. Firstly a waitress was going to put down a drink on my table. I explained it couldn't be mine as I hadn't ordered yet. No apology, just shouted across the restaurant 'YOU'VE GOT IT WRONG AGAIN'. BLT arrived but had to wait awhile for my coffee. Sandwich was not enjoyable, the bacon was hardly edible. Best part was the crisps. While I was eating two separate people came to the till. First one said they'd been waiting 20 minutes with no order taken so they were leaving. Second person said their coffee had arrived with no sign of their food. Certainly won't be visiting again.

Expensive. Average quality. I popped in for the Traditional Cream Tea for two - that gave us a tea or coffee plus a small scone plus a small pot of jam and cream to share. This cost £12.45. Coffee was OK. Quite nice scone but quite small. The place is very tired with imitation leather seats peeling badly. There are much nicer places at the Mall for this much money.

We were up at Cribbs Causeway doing some shopping and we stopped at Patisserie Valerie for a coffee and a snack. There are quite a few places you can have a coffee at Cribbs, but what I like about Patisserie Valerie is that it is table service. So we sat at our table and looked over the menu. The place was busy, but the service was excellent, and we didn’t have to wait long to order. My first choice was an apricot danish, however they had run out. So I went with my second choice, which wasn’t a pastry, but Valerie’s Welsh Rarebit. Our food arrived promptly, which was nice, especially as the place was quite full of diners. Valerie’s Welsh Rarebit was toasted bloomer bread topped with a poached egg, tomato chutney, cheddar, mustard & served with a side salad.I don’t think I have ever had Rarebit before, so I was interested to see what it was going to be like. This was a nice cheesy toast dish, the mustard was subtle and added warmth. The poached egg was perfectly cooked. I liked the tomato chutney, which was on the side, I did think it was a little too sweet for me. Overall it was a really nice light meal.I think one of the reasons I hadn’t ordered or had this dish before, was that usually I am looking for cake, or a full meal. Valerie’s Welsh Rarebit for me is more of a snack, or a light meal.Alongside I had a flat white, not the best flat white in the world, but it was a good coffee.

Mixed emotions about this place, afternoon tea package was good, coffee and tea great but so let down by service staff long wait for food from kitchen not one waitress sort us out to see that all was well or that we might need service waitress cleaning table's could not look are way !! At the end needing a dogbag l had to seek help! man with apron grunting something and box appeared. Will a go again maybe

This was my first time visiting patisserie Valerie and I wasn't disappointed. The service was great, staff friendly. We had cake, coffee and tea with a toasted teacake.the cakes were delicious and so pretty. The teacakes came with plenty of butter and were very tasty. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the coffee could have been better. I ordered a flat white which came with half of it in my saucer and was just luke warm. Also it was a little watery? To me the coffee makes or breaks a place. I am still glad I visited though.

Awful. Will not go there again. We had afternoon tea for my friend's Birthday. We had to wait a long time and the place was not busy. The plates were warm (for cold food?) We had to ask for knives for the scones and top up for the tea. Food was mediocre, I can make better. One waitress was very nice , but the managers were bad, miserable. Did not feel welcome. They did give us a cake free to take home, as we complained. Expensive for what we had.
