A number of different walks. Beautiful scenery and a variety of wild birds. Plenty of parking and a van for coffee and snacks. Picnic tablets available close to the carpark.

Hillsborough Forest
Pleasent park on edge if Hillsborough village. Centred around a lake. Has and old stone fort which looks like a child's idea of a castle. Many wildfowl on the Lake including geese, swans, ducks, cormorants, Grey Heron, Coot, Moorhen and Little Grebe. Lake stocked with Trout. Enjoyable woodland walks around the lake with views of Hillsborough Parish Church.Lots of Bluebells in April and Spring

Ideal place for a walk with children or dog. Very peaceful. Evening walks are wonderful too. Loads of parking, close to hillsborough village too if you want some lunch or to visit some shops, also a play park across the road

Stunning especially in good weather ,amazingly hidden behind a beautiful oldie village , walking ,jogging or just relaxing you can’t but take in the atmosphere and history of this beautiful place . The village provides great cafes pubs and quaint little shops. And of course a Castle. But a day out no cost to roam this forest and fort

Hillsborough Forest
Good spot for a peaceful walk in the forest that surrounds a large lake with swans and ducks. The park continues to be improved by both the council and forest service. The as result, it is increasingly popular both in the morning and the afternoons. Best time for a quiet and peaceful walk is early morning.

Highly recommended - lovely walk , plenty car parking spaces , new kids park aswell .good open fields for dog , and forest . Great for a picnic plenty of bench’s

Hillsborough Forest
Nice forest walk with a large lake and has lot's of ducks and swans. Has alot of dog walkers. Has ideal paths for prams. Could do with more parking with public toilets. Have been here a few times now and really enjoy the walk.

A gorgeous and amazingly well maintained garden and forest. A nature lovers haven. With loads to see and has lovely spots to stop for a break or picnic

Used to be a great place. Ruined by addition of large statues round the lake. Good playback.
