I've been a long time costumer of HSBC, a lot of experience dealing with the bank online, on phone and in branches. Unfortunately, I must say, the experience I had in this branch (Swindon Canal walk) is appalling. There is no respect to the customers (they obviously don't like my accent either) and they are hopelessly useless. The worst experience in dealing with the bank.

Very poor service. Always very long queue. I spent more than one hour to talk to someone from the customer service. No special benefits for premier customers.

shuts at 4.30pm, what the hell? miss the old town branch which was my actual branch till it closed, least that one was still open till 5, must be time to find a different bank, must be hard work doing 9.30-4.30pm, useless

Popped in today to deposit some cash. I was dealt with by Lesley she was amazingly helpful very chatty, seem like she took pride in her work, which is great to see. Lesley even arranged for me to speak to a mortgage advisor there and then also. Very much impressed with the level of customer service recieved.I hope this doesn't go unnoticed and I would like to thank her for help today.

Needed more cash than my daily card limit, made a journey especially to withdraw my cash, but they had no-one on the counter. Instead 1 person was dealing with a que at the podium which was out the door, what a waste of time!

The machine on the street swallowed by debit card when I was withdrawing cash (btw, nothing wrong with the Barclays debit card I put into the machine) and the HSBC bank staff said they were unable to retrieve it. I was stuck in this town with my 3-year-old child with ZERO cash. Just a warning. The staff said they could not retrieve cards and had to contact my own bank. Not blaming the individual staff, who were polite, but surely bank branches should be able to retrieve cards!

Extremely awkward and confusing layout inside, no front desk/reception, a 'waiting room'? immediately inside, but you've no way of knowing if they're waiting for someone to get back to them, if they're next in line to speak to someone, or just some delinquent hanging about

Not the best by any means, but at least this location was open on a Saturday. Extremely difficult to bank when all the locations close at 4:30pm before most people get off of work!That being said, the employee that worked with me to open savings account was very helpful and even went out of his way to call me about my parking ticket I dropped.
