Had a superb meal there last night. The good was fabulous and the staff were lovely. I would definitely recommend.

Edit - I was extremely unwell after eating this meal, and this was the only thing I had eaten all day.Came for lunch. Service was good, and the staff were friendly.Meals were ok. Fish and chips were OK but chips were really overdone (as you can see in the photo!)Drinks were expensive for the quality. Had a white wine spritz at £7 - this is my usual drink of choice but this had a horrible aftertaste and I couldn't even drink half.

Lovely setting near a NT house and a lovely old church. Garden area is good. My supper was excellent. The bar shut early especially as I was staying. Room outside the main building was functional perfect for what I needed. Breakfast was very nice. All round very happy to recommend and I would return. Cheers RBS

Expect the wrong food, the wrong bill and staff smoking next to you while you eat (even if you ask them not to)Edit (response): I'm surprised you haven't had a chance to review things, since a long email was sent over 2 weeks ago now before posting here. Generally the reviews are on a downward trend and it's understandable. I agree you can't please everyone, but I doubt many would be happy to inhale smoke all meal long from a staff member who sits nearby, fragrantly breaking the regulations, and an apology goes a long way sometimes...

We had the most amazing Sunday Lunch. Food was just the best ever, venue lovely and the service by the staff, just the best. Highly recommended. Get your table booked.

My family and In-Laws came here for a birthday meal, and I must say upon first visit and impressions, I was very pleased. Good Atmosphere and lovely food with good portions.However, although it was a Sunday and was busy, we had to asking the waiting staff to order each time, especially the dessert course, rather than checking up on us every so often.

Cannot comment on the rooms as we went for food only.The place is gorgeous. The food amazing, the service was excellent. A very good evening was had by all. I would thoroughly recommend. Well done excellent.

Love our family meals here, staff are so caring and Kerri is amazing a true asset. The food is the best and the Pernod chicken is the best meal I’ve ever had. Thank you xx

Party of 3 ageing cyclists and 1 even older driver of support vehicle. Lovely rooms and great food (venison particularly marvellous). Friendly and helpful staff made our stay very enjoyable.
