Brilliant place. So much space and facilities (e.g. pub with pool table etc, several lounges and kitchens, amazing grounds and options to book activities). Very clean. Comfy beds.Only a little bit of critique... I was shocked you have to bring your own towels — I've only ever encountered that in hostels (!) and it's so inconvenient if you want to shower the morning you're leaving and have to somehow pack a wet towel. Also it says they provide shampoo and shower gel but I'd recommend taking your own — v obvious they'd filled it with the cheapest option possible. Would expect more by way of towels and toiletries for the price.

I stayed at Merrieweathers House in April 2017 and was charmed by the house and grounds - in fact, it's like staying in an Agatha Christie story! The house is so beautiful, but comfortable and spacious as well, with plenty of room for everyone, whether you want to get everyone round the table for dinner, swim in the pool or just curl up with a book in the library, and all the bedrooms are so comfortable. The grounds are magnificent, and there's plenty to see and do in the area. The hosts are truly welcoming. Definitely somewhere I want to return to, and somewhere I recommend.

Stayed here in may 2016 for long weekend. The main house has been renovated to a high standard and is delightful. The pool,grounds and little private pub make it an ideal retreat for a group of friends. Great hosts and lovely walks. A perfect weekend..

Wow, just returned from the most amazing weekend at Merrieweathers with friends for my belated 40th. Everyone was completely blown away by the stables/hayloft accommodation, living areas and all the facilities on offer. We fully took advantage of the heated pool, tennis court and of course the pub. A game of darts or pool went down a treat whilst watching the football on the big screen. The courtyard with its large seating area was also a perfect place to socialise with friends. We had a lovely 3 course dinner and BBQ provided by Bay Tree Foods. My husband also organised Knights cocktail bar for us and an amazing singer to finish off the most perfect day. This is simply the best place we’ve stayed and we cannot wait to return.

Just returned from a long weekend here and it was way beyond my expectations! the whole place was spotless, well equipped and absolutely massive! We spent the majority of our time in the heated pool or private pub. The owners were very accommodating and lots of help on the run up to the event. thank you very much!

I've had the pleasure of staying at Merrieweathers House on two occasions and love the place. The house and grounds are both magnificent, with everything anyone could possibly need for a wonderful stay. It's great for those who like to be active, with tennis and swimming available, or if you wish to relax, there are lots of places to escape everyone else to sit and read! The hosts are very welcoming, helpful and friendly and obviously love the house and love to share it with others. The country setting of the property is wonderful with miles of country walks right on the doorstep.

Amazing Birthday weekend at this beautiful accommodation, everything you need ,spacious ,Country walks heated swimming pool , it even boasts its own pub and games room .

I have stayed at Merrieweathers House 3 times (most recently in April 2017) and absolutely love it. The house and grounds are amazing, it is spacious and impressive, but at the same time really homely. There is plenty to see and do here, from swimming and tennis to real pub entertainment (all in the grounds!), plus you are in the most amazing countryside with so much to do locally. The hosts are truly the loveliest people ever and you can see how much they love this place. I'm already planning my next visit, I really can't recommend it enough.

Wonderful place for business Team building and the resort is well looked after with stunning gardens ,bar and game room, pool , barbecue area and all the tools you would need for cooking etc. Lovely bedrooms, clean and tidy. A bonus was they even had a separate gas barbecue just for vegetarian . Thanks for a wonderful time

We spent a long weekend in this delightful place with all our family to celebrate our sons 50th Birthday. It sleeps 18 comfortably with so much space and so well equipped. A wonderful private ‘Pub’ down the garden path was a real bonus full of great pub games to keep all ages very happy and active. A table tennis table in the paved patio and huge chess set. A very large screen and projector to watch films on in the main lounge. Fun Jacuzzi with lights in one of the bedrooms. The grounds are a real treat with space to walk around the lake. The courtyard had a BBQ and a useful outside kitchen. Pretty flowers around. Having the whole place to ourselves made this a very special time and lots of family fun.
