Full of false promises and zero pride in aftercare!Recently purchased a car from this company. Before making the purchase I inquired about the number of keys that comes with the vehicle as this was a big requirement and I explained this to Caine the sales rep. I was promised 2 keys would be guaranteed". This was confirmed again when I reserved the vehicle.2 hours before I picked up the vehicle I received an email

1 star is very generous, I don't ever write reviews, but I felt this one was justified as companies like this should not be allowed to trade.Apologies for the long read but please I urge you to buy a car elsewhere if you value a good service and car.I bought my car from this company, When the car arrived to my home the wheels had been refurbished the paint had all run on them where they had not been allowed proper time to set, there was chips all over the car, the paintwork was in very bad condition and had some minor faults, As soon as I had made my payments the salesperson basically ignored my concerns, the aftercare department did not want to help, I sent emails and complaints for months to the Hippo website and to the aftercare team, I got nothing back. I finally had to resolve my issues with my finance company.Please feel free to drop me an email if you want anymore information about my experience with the companyI urge you to buy a car elsewhere, don't be fooled by these cons

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE....If there was an option for giving 0 stars, Thats the option I would of picked. As ive seen with other reviews clearly this company doesnt understand or take pride in customer service. How can you sell cars to people and you are getting the same response from majority of the customers, telling you as a family" run business you people can not communicate

Absolutely disgusted in there after care had car less than 3 months had AA out twice and now been informed by AA that it needs a new battery and its not covered by the extra warranty I purchased and the company won't pay for battery as I never informed them there was an issue within the 30 days of purchase ......I didn't realise the small print said you have to be psychic and know of a potential issue coming up.Strongly advise buy from somewhere else.

Re, 2nd hand car purchase.Reported a problem with heated seat when we first viewed car. Told it would all be checked & dealt with for when we purchased & took away. Reassured today that all checks were done & it was sorted. This was NOT the case.Picked it up from them today at allotted time. It wasn’t charged for us. Could only drive to nearby garage and had to charge ourselves. Very poor service from Hippo.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service from Hippo – don’t buy from them!Having purchased a car on finance from them in September and it having an issue from the offset. Hippo seem nonplussed to help and sort the issue.The car broke down and we have been without a car for nearly 3 weeks now and even though the garage have diagnosed the issue Hippo still do not communicate or update on what is going on or when the car will be fixed.They do not answer your call – ‘on lunch’ – do not return calls – despite urgent call back!So avoid this company as if you have issues with any vehicle you likely won’t get it sorted !WORST COMPANY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER DEALT WITH

Bought car from them in July part finance as part deposit at the time customer service was good. Car delivered with a couple of faults and arranged for it to be collected which it was. Ordered another car which when delivered wasn't keen on and simply changed my mind which I'm legally allowed to do within 14 daysContacted them 5 days later to be told if I cancel I'll be charged £600 which they can't do. Contacted trading standards who told me the same. They also wanted to charge £198 for collection again on there website it's £1 a mile up to a maximum of £500 I presume that's if you live a distance.I contacted Ellia re pick up and the deposit and just completely ignored all emails. Will have to drive myself to Luton to drop off even though I hate motorway driving.They quick to reply to email during sales but after nothing.For remote sales they cannot charge you a cancellation fee as long as contacted them within 14 days.I will drop off the car and await my full refund and if not done trading standard asked me to get back in touch and I'll start legal action.Don't even want to start with the warranty people who took my money after cancelling also.Dreadful company.

From the onset, the lack of customer service was glaringly evident. It took anunacceptable three weeks for them to respond to my concerns, and even then, their response was far from satisfactory.The core issue revolves around the misrepresentation of the vehicle I purchased. Not only was I sold a car with undisclosed damage to the bonnet, but the damage is far more extensive than whatcould be attributed to general wear and tear. This type of deception is inexcusable, and it reflects a complete lack of integrity on the part of Hippo Motor Group.Furthermore, when I raised this issue, their proposed resolution was nothing short of insulting. Instead of addressing the actual repair cost, they offered a mere £50 for a buff and a touch-uppen. This inadequate response demonstrates a complete disregard for the magnitude of the situation and the impact on the value of the vehicle.I also find it deeply concerning that such a reputable dealership would resort to such dishonest practices. I have contacted Trading Standards to report this incident as a mis-selling of a vehicle,and I implore anyone who has faced similar issues to do the same.In summary, my experience with Hippo Motor Group has been characterized by poor customer service, misrepresentation, and an utter lack of accountability. I would strongly advise potential buyersto exercise extreme caution when considering any transactions with this company.

I have been engaging with Brandon and Gareth at the Hippo Motor Group. They have both been amazing and cant thank them enough for there support. Initially there was a problem with the battery, which was replaced quickly, unfortunately the garage replaced with an incorrect battery which caused a number of issues with the car. This resulted in a £700 garage bill, which the warranty company were responsible, but declined to pay, due to the wrong battery being installed.Batteries are not covered by warranty companies and the Hippo Group took full responsibility and paid the bill in full.They have been great. I cant recommend Hippo, Brandon and Gareth enough.
