The Wallingford Bookshop
It's been a while since I've been in area, about 3 years, but this bookshop haunts my dreams. Back when I lived close they were so helpful, the staff read books to my kids whilst I browsed. They remembered me when I visited which was only about once a month. This book shop is what all bookshops would be, if you're within 50 miles it is well worth the drive.Helpful with real book people running show show, the best local business I've encountered.

I absolutely adore this bookshop. It's a lovely place to visit, packed with a wonderful mix of books for all tastes and ages - but the thing that makes it truly special is the amazing knowledge of the staff. Give them a few examples of books that you (or your tricky-to-buy-for teenager!) like and they'll suggest wonderful books that you would never have discovered for yourself but that hit the spot every single time. Well worth a visit!

A super little bookshop, very friendly staff with a good selection of books: fiction, non-fiction and childrens. Yes it's small, but absolutely worth it to pop in and have a browse if you're passing.

What a total gem of a bookshop! Essential for book-lovers if you’re in the Wallingford area. The staff are absolutely delightful and they really know their stuff - I got a whole list of recommendations and left with two fantastic new books. Can’t wait to come back!

Good, quiet modern bookshop, with a wide range of local and novel teasers,and the usual ability to advise and order in. I suppose such a great shop must be a financial disaster and a vanity business, but this, not chain stores, is the kind of shop that makes towns better than amazon.

Wonderful bookshop cannot recommend it enough and the lovely staff .Had the book I needed at very short notice in stock and were happy to post it to my daughter and grandchildren straight away . (I was in North Wales )Friendly helpful service made me feel nothing was too much trouble .

Good range of books. I went in specifically for a book for my toddler and I found there were plenty to choose from. The woman who served us was extremely lovely with my son and gave him a sticker. It was a really lovely personal touch. Would definitely recommend.
