Morgans Carpets

Very poor customer service from the shop, don't live up to the mistakes they make in their quotes, don't reply to emails or return phone calls.Fitters did a very good job however but still wouldn't use Morgan again.

First class service, really impressed. They fitted out my house with beautiful carpets, with speed and expertise. Absolutely recommended!

Great quality carpet at competitive prices. Installers are good, some not as friendly as they should be.

Friendly knowledgable staff. Fair prices. Carpet fitters were also very good. Would recommend and will probably use them again

Having found the carpet we liked Morgans offered the best value we could find. From start to finish the service was excellent. A three man team arrived as arranged & worked very hard on fitting underlay & carpet to lounge, dining room, and hall, stairs & landing. We had emptied everything we could from the rooms & the lads moved the furniture we couldn't remove as they they worked. Top service! We are very happy indeed.

Sadly, this review can only echo those provided by others who have fallen foul of the poor workmanship and non existent customer service of this company.In Dec 2022 we agreed to a verbal quote (we never received a written one) for laying ply and vinyl in our fantastic new bathroom. In return we expected a timely and professional service. We received neither.Sealant applied around the vinyl was amateurish at best and we could definitely have done a better job ourselves without smearing and smudging it over the vinyl, skirtings and shower tray. There was another issue with the ply not being laid beneath the cabinet plinth as is standard practice.We then spent a whole month calling the shop (and provided pictures) to try to speak with James Bickerdike - who makes all the decisions - but he was never available and didn’t call us back until almost a month later. We arranged for him to come out to us one morning but he didn’t come as expected and when we phoned the shop again we were told he was ‘super busy’ but not of course with us! He came later that day.He came to our home and was rude, disrespectful and belligerent. He constantly talked over my husband and refuse to accept that there were any issues. He failed to apologise or explain why it had taken him a whole month to visit and continued rambling and blustering all the while becoming more and more angry and it was clear that only one persons’ opinion mattered and it certainly wasn’t ours. He is without doubt THE most unpleasant person it has ever been our misfortune to encounter in a retail environment.We gave now employed a real professional to do the work properly in order to avoid any further misery with James.Both issue could and should have been resolved with ease but James chose to go down a confrontational route.Needless to say, we cannot recommend that anyone give H Morgan’s their business and we just wish that we had seen the previous poor reviews.Stay clear, everyone. Be kind to yourselves.

We were so impressed with the service we received from H Morgans. We got expert advice in helping choose the right carpet and we have not been disappointed - they look great. The service was so professional from measurement to fitting and they were very reasonably priced compared to all the other companies we visited. We would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

Fitted some flooring for my mother-in-law - terrible service. They left the flooring with several faults due to poor fitting and haven’t returned to resolve it despite several calls and promises from them that they’ll come and sort the issues - that was back in September 2019 and still not heard anything from them.Quality of flooring is good, but service/fitting was terrible - shame.

Quite possibly the worst Service ever experienced, which is very difficult to write for someone who likes to support local Businesses.Poor quality work, damage to bathroom shower basin and repeated broken commitments to visit and correct the work.Lovely staff but unfortunately James hasn’t seemed remotely concerned by the photos and videos provided of the poor work completed.Lovely flooring product, just a shame about the work carried out and service.

Carpet purchased last year. One star given for the wide choice available and another for the excellent fitters. More importantly, we needed some minor repair work to the bedroom sub-floor. A very basic matter of sorting one bedroom floorboard plank was not remedied, despite querying this the 'handyman' advised that the thick underlay would hide the still obvious imperfection. Absolutely not! Despite requesting inspection following fitting, had to chase-up for a response. Was advised the 'handyman' would make contact, alas never heard again from anyone (several similar reviews). £3k spent, only to still have a channel right through bedroom where one floorboard needed raised/repaired. Cannot recommend due to such poor service/follow-up.
