Great place to learn how to defend yourself and lose an incredible amount of weight. Even if you are completely inexperienced they will accommodate you.

This is a great school for all levels with the highest level of teaching you can get and i found the students really friendly which is a quality that the school promotes. If your thinking if starting up martial arts this is the first place to check out. Joining a new school can be daunting but I was made to feel like I'd been there for years and i was blown away by the quality of the teaching the facilities and how many lessons that are available for money great value.

Icon Peterborough bjj club, is a friendly club with great instructors. With quality classes from beginners to advanced. I recommend the club to everyone who wants to start a new hobby or want to compete in their favourite sport.

I went to the beginners class on Friday. I was really pleased to be greeted by Paul who already knew I was coming and made me feel really welcome, mega friendly too! Explained what I needed to do and where everything was within the gym! I was then greeted by the instructor Nevs who is super approachable and friendly, he knew who I was and that it was my first session, made me feel welcome too. Also had a little chat about my previous experience.Session began with a really decent warm up including striking and take downs which was a nice surprise and also some drills. Nevs then covered a really good sequence which he broke down into small chunks so it was easy to take on.We then practiced what Nevs had covered in some positional sparring which was great fun.Overall had a genuinely great time, Nevs is a superb instructor, really clear, encouraging and attentive (having given myself and the 2 other new starters loads of direction and coaching). I also had a no gi session with Michael a few months back and he's got all the same qualities I must mention!Gym itself is gleaming, neat, tidy and they've got loads of sessions. Looking forward to doing more!

I started my BJJ journey a little while before lockdown. It took me a month to feel like I understood what I wanted from BJJ. And the skill itself I found so difficult! Post lockdown I joined Icon Peterborough and I have hit milestone after milestone. I am considerably fitter, levels above where I began, and am now very much part of an amazing community of brilliant people. Icon has something on their timetable for anyone and everyone, drinks and uniform available on site, huge matted area with extra training equipment, toilet and change facility, and off-road parking! I’ve been training at Icon Peterborough for some time now.I can honestly say it’s definitely one of the best Brazilian jiu-jitsu around here.The Head Coach (Del) is just awesome!!The quality of training is of the highest standard too!Everyone there is really friendly and welcoming also.I really can’t recommend this club enough.If you’ve ever wanted to better yourself, physically and mentally and get fit along the way, then come down to Icon Peterborough and try it for yourself, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!! This is such a good BJJ gym!Great atmosphere and training environment where you always feel welcome. No silly gym rules, no egotistical instructors, and everyone gets to roll. I left my first gym and I'm so glad I came here afterwards!
