Mick Dwane Car Sales

I bought a car in November with 12 months MOT (not sure how to be honest!) A week later, the engine light shows up, so I take it to the garage and they tell me it’s the catalytic converter. Mick has been saying for 5 months that he will replace the catalytic converter and hasn’t. Also, after 2 months of having the car the exhaust fell off, took it to the garage and the whole exhaust and back box needed replacing. Mick said, when I was in the garage getting it fixed, that he would pay for that and hasn’t. I also had all 4 tyres replaced as they were very old, but I said I was happy to pay for them! The back windows on my car are also glued shut, I’m not sure what that is about. Anyway, I will not be buying from Mick again as, understandably, I am not happy with the product or the service!!

Originally a lovely person to deal with. If you buy a car from here make sure you take someone with you who knows about cars, and can check fully for any problems before you buy. I have had no end of issues with the car I bought and he will be very charming but make it all but impossible to get the issue fixed. (Can't find a good day to come and pick the car up, etc). If he suggests you take it elsewhere to be fixed, don't do it. He won't pay you back what he agreed and then cite the warranty wording as the reason.

Excellent experience, thank goodness I took no notice of some comments made by others obviously thought they were buying 2023 models. The Guy Mick was most helpful and supportive the car is brilliant and to date already had calls to make sure we're satisfied. Certainly we have no hesitation in recommending Mick Dwane Car Sales. Bought my first car from Mick Dwane two weeks ago. Could not be more helpful, Sharing his knowledge and advice on the best car to get. My new car is a dream to drive. It's automatic so going to someone like him who specialises in them is so much easier to deal with. Would highly recommend him especially if you want an honest car dealer with years of experience.

Very pleased with both the car and the service!I'm a fair way from where Mick Dwane Car Sales is located so after having made the journey to view the car in person it was a relief to find that everything was exactly as initially described over the phone. Mick himself was a friendly guy and more than happy to answer any question I threw at him, always encouraging when the business you're spending your money with knows what they're talking about!The car itself was faultless on the drive home and has remained so in the couple of months I've had it so far, very pleased with my purchase and would happily recommend Mick Dwane to anyone looking to buy a car. Been to a Mick a few times before being ready to buy and was always very helpful with what car would be best with my situation and answering any questions i may have. I fell in love with one the cars he had so went ahead and got that all arranged. There's been a couple of minor faults since buying the car which is not fault of micks, however he is very happy to help get it all sorted out and the customer service experience has been excellent. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get their first car as everything has been dealt with at a great standard and he a very nice chap to buy off.

Terrible experience would not recommend at all. Sold me a car with loads of issues and refused to fix them even though in warranty and promised he would. Ignored me for nearly 2 months and had to get the AA involved.

Totally unprofessional offensively rude and insulting and abusive.I paid the deposit on a vehicle over the phone sight unseen. I then waited a week for delivery and still nothing. When questioned he said he didn’t want to sell me the car because he said in his blah blah 35 or 40 years selling used cars he “never had anyone question him on the extended warranty” (seriously? No one ever asked him about the warranty?) and therefore my asking him questions about the warranty made me “a serial moaner a serial complainer” (not even making this up I’ve got his text message to prove this). He wanted to back out of the deal and kept pressuring me to cancel the deal and kept insisting on my bank details to refund me the deposit. I asked him to refund it back to my visa he said no has to be bank details. Very worrying behavior! then he took three days to refund my deposit after promising to refund rightaway if I agreed to his cancelling the deal and he sent another abusive text when I chased for the refund. AA approved dealer?? Shocking behavior.
