Puffin Burrow holiday cottage

Lovely little really clean cottage with perfect views. We've enjoyed every minute here and it was well worth the trip down from Yorkshire. We would love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Puffin Burrow. The cottage has been decorated and equipped with a lot of love and attention to detail. We particularly enjoyed the location and being so close to the water. I've never been so endeared to a seagull before but Cliff and his new girlfriend were a real treat. The cottage is ideally situated to walk along the stunning coast path to Gorran Haven and beyond. We also enjoyed the walk to Pentewan Beach, which is well equipped for water sports. The ferry to Fowey to Fowey is a brilliant service and great for seeing the dolphins and sea life. We've already booked up for next year and look forward to our return. Thank you Danny and Wendy.

Wonderful getaway in a beautiful little jewel of a cottage. We loved the view of the ever changing sea right outside of the door and the sound of the waves against the rocks and shore. There were seals swimming on the incoming tide and the sunrise spectacular. The cottage is really well equipped ( love the coffee maker) and beautifully decorated with sea inspired decor and Wendy’s wonderful paintings. With the coastal path, a great local pub and the village of Mevagissey within walking distance it is a great place to stay. Cozy, warm and just perfect for us! Loved the cottage and Cliff the seagull and his squawky companion!

We loved our week in Puffin Burrow Cottage at the end of January. Lockdown prevented us from an earlier planned trip. The cottage is extremely well equipped, no problem to prepare meals if required. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival and was very warm and welcoming. The furnishings are good quality and comfortable. Having a view of the sea from every window is a real bonus, even washing up is not a chore when you have a beautiful view to look at! Listening to the sea and waking to the view from the huge and extremely comfortable bed was bliss. Would thoroughly recommend.

What an amazing cottage right next to the sea in a superb location. The village was lovely and the villagers were so friendly. The secluded bay was fabulous and a few sea dips were enjoyed there. Everything about this trip was magical. The cottage is beautifully decorated - arty, cool, unique and stylish. It is also well equipped with good attention to detail. Being able to wake up to views of the sea while still lying in a lovely comfortable bed was remarkable and such a great experience. Excellent communication with owners and housekeeper. Loved it - deserves its five star rating!

Gorgeous one bed cottage with terrace directly over Portmellon bay with is a 50m access down the road. Dog friendly cottage and beach (off season). Fabulous views, quiet retreat. Cosy lounge with dining table, good wifi, TV, Poldark dvds included. All the kitchen kit you could need, including sharp knives and quality Denby crockery, washing machine. Comfortable bed, plenty of pillows and wake up looking at the sea. En-suite bath/hot shower. Accommodation also contains beautiful artwork by the owner enhancing the coastal location. Highly recommended.

This quaint fisherman's cottage is beautifully decorated making it light and airy. The cottage has a very comfortable superking bed with wonderful sea views to wake up to. The highlights are the many large canvases by Wendy that adorn the walls making it a unique and special place with some extra welcoming touches.The only downside is the nearest shops and eateries are in Mevagissey which is only a mile away but with steep roads you need to be fit. Fortunately the kitchen is very well equipped for self catering with a large fridge. It was great to sit on the terrace with a morning coffee watching the glorious sunrises over the bay with the company of Cliff the seagull, or in the evening with a glass of something sparkly.

Gorgeous cottage for two people and a dog in a brilliant place. The cottage is very clean and nicely decorated with all the equipment you need. Situated on the cove overlooking the sea with a wonderful view. Mevigissey only a short walk away offers lovely pubs, restaurants and shops. We had our evening meals at the Ship Inn which were delicious, especially the scallops and homemade fish pie. Dog friendly even the local post office/shop. Would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again

Puffin Burrow was exactly what we were looking for. Great walks from the doorstep, short distance to town, peaceful location and a real luxury-feel all round. Really beautiful sunrises and brilliantly changeable weather. It's the kind of place where weather is not an issue. If it's sunny it's great...if it isn't then it's still great.Also very good communications with the owners.We loved it and will certainly want to book again. Highly recommended!

Excellent accommodation with views that are breathtaking out over a sheltered cove and beach. The cottage is a perfect getaway, a place to switch off and relax to the gentle sound of the sea. Decorated and styled to a superb standard it has everything you need for home away from home". Mevagissey is only a ten minutes saunter away with fantastic places to eat and a great atmosphere."
