Sunderland Chapel of Light is a great place to find friends and family. I was welcomed with such love so real and so authentic. And I always have fun while being taught about life, and faith in Jesus Christ and God the Father. There is so much more.You are welcome.

Great place for spiritual growth and purposeful living. Christ like care and love from the members and Senior Pastor. Really doing a great work in sunderland inspite of its size.

Primarily a 'black led' church. Charismatic. Extremely long church service (2.5 hours). Freezing cold on my visit. Not for the fainthearted, if you are new to Christianity — in fact, I wouldn't recommend this as your first stop on the spiritual journey of anybody who is a bit psychologically vulnerable. The egomaniac Pastor wanted to see me in his office (a bit like going to the headmaster's study). This guy tried evangelical bully boy tactics on me, badgering me to pray in his own particular way. I got the impression that I wasn't being listened to. This church would suit anybody unaccustomed to thinking for themselves. The church sound amplification system gets lost in the echoes and Nigerian accents — I could barely follow what was going on.

I came into Sunderland over 10 years ago and not too long after coming in I was invited to the anniversary by the most lovely people ever. My life has never been the same and I must say I can think VERY well for myself. No matter the challenge, God has been faithful. My life has changed and I believe anyone who is committed to change in their life can come in freely.

Lovely worship place. Pastor Peter Adegbie sermon touches base on your soul. You just have to love them. Welcome congratulations as well. Historical Chapel as well.
