Pinegrove Leather

My new Pinegrove strap of FULL grain veg tanned leather is beautiful and will likely outlast me. But what led me to Pinegrove was Rod’s ingeniously simple headstock loop for guitars, like my Martins, that come without a front strap button. You can, of course, have a luthier or tech drill and install a front strap but I’ve never liked that. Folks like Hank, Sr., Johnny Cash, and I have made do with leather loops, bootlaces, shoestrings, etc. over the years.Martin’s solution is a leather loop that leaves it’s included (plastic) button too close to the fretboard. When you connect a normal to wider strap it interferes with making some open chords. Rod’s loop runs the button through a slit in the loop resulting in the button a few inches from the fretboard. Brilliant!I know it sounds odd that I would buy a new strap six time zones away just to get the free headstock loop but that’s exactly what I did. Rod even made mine an inch longer at my request at no charge, though it turns out the extra inch wasn’t necessary.I think my dark brown strap complements my new 000-15M nicely. Rod also sent me a light tan loop to match my Martin strap for my old HD-28 and a fun red one for my Yamaha camp out & beach guitar (also without a front button).Rod demonstrated great patience when quickly responding to my slew of odd questions.Oh, and the strap? It is wonderful, thick, high quality full grain leather. Pinegrove has spoiled my from ever purchasing from any other strap maker.Guy Murphy

I have tried many bass straps trying to find the right feel and quality. A friend recommended Pinegrove leather. My search for the perfect strap is over. The selection and prices are fantastic; however, the thing that matters-- quality and workmanship puts these straps in another league. Pure beauty, the level of padding, ergonomic design and comfort, detailed human-crafted stitching, and first rate customer service and communication. From the day I ordered my straps arrived from the UK to California in about a week and a half (including a postal delay). Within days I placed another order for the Heavyweight Tan Relic.
