The Dojo Karate Centre
In over 20 years of training in various Martial Arts this is the best level of tuition I have ever received and the best equipped Dojo I have had the pleasure to train in. It is also one of the friendliest. I would have no problem recommending the DOJO to anybody Beginner or experienced Martial Artist.

My Two boys have been attending the DOJO for the last 7 years and love it. They have both been awarded a Black belt recently and the methods of teaching are second to none. They train under a number of instructors but mostly with Sensei Trimble who is a past world champion and I would highly recommend The Dojo for anyone wishing to start out in Karate. Friendly and welcoming and great for the kids confidence.

First class teaching in a beautiful dojo with great facilities. There is an excellent standard of shotokan karate at this club, successfully blending both traditional Japanese instruction with a modern approach. I could not recommend more highly.

Everybody thinks that their martial arts club is the best, so who do you listen to? I can tell you some about some things that make the Dojo great.1. Age and ability are never a factor – Sensei Trimble has given pensioners and children their black belts, and trained world champions.2. The facilities are top-notch, changing rooms with showers, disabled access; the training area is matted, and there is a traditional makiwara (striking post – how many clubs have one of those?)3. The chief instructor, Sensei Aidan Trimble is a 7th dan – count them, seven – and that’s a real 7th dan, awarded by some of the most respected karate practitioners in the country. Actually, since he is above 6th dan you can call him Shihan (Master) Aidan Trimble, though he would never ask you to.The Dojo is the real deal – karate which gives back what you put in, and much, much more.

I would not recommend this place cause Sensei Trimble ghosted my Nan, she was 3 sessions away from being a black belt and he promised her the world. He promised her that she was almost achieving her brown wings, little did she know he wanted to do more to her brown wings, shes never recovered from that spa session. She came out of it walking like John Wayne and needing ANOTHER hip replacement. Avoid this place at all costs and don’t trust this sensei with your Nan.

I would definitely encourage anyone interested in karate to train with Sensei Aidan Trimble at The Dojo, regardless of age or experience. It is a brilliant facility with a phenomenal instructor who has previously been a world champion. I've trained with lots of instructors and I can safely say that Sensei Trimble is one the best.

My daughter and I have recently started Karate at the Dojo in Beeston and we both love it. There is an unrivalled wealth of expertise and the teaching is first class. The venue is fantastic and there is an encouraging sense of inclusion and respect regardless of age or ability.

I've been attending The Dojo for a month now and it's professional and friendly everytime I go. I'm just starting to train in Karate and I've found that everyone is welcoming and willing to help and noone is left out no matter what level they're at. One of the reasons I chose The Dojo was the credentials of the senior instructor and I've not been disappointed. I'd definitely recommend training here to anyone thinking of starting Karate. 5/5 stars!

For anyone looking to learn a martial art for self defence, fitness, or even something to fill the time whilst the wife is watching Coronation Street, The Dojo is the place to go.The facilities here are excellent, with full showers and changing facilities, and an air conditioned safety matted hall. There's even comfy sofas in the adjacent lounge for you to wait whilst the kids are training. The tuition is top-notch. Not only is Sensei Trimble is a world champion and a legendary Karateka, he is a brilliant instructor. You would be hard pushed to find someone with more knowledge and a better way of conveying it to you.I can't recommend this highly enough.
