Mercedes-Benz of Southend

I’ve been wanting a Mercedes for a while but couldn’t find the right car until I found the car I picked up today. Although I live 2 and a hour hours away from Southend the drive was totally worth it. I originally spoke to James who talk to me about the car which was enough for me to put a deposit down. I then met Gil when I went to collect the car, he talked me through everything and made the process to easy. Both James, Gil and the whole team at Southend are so welcoming and friendly. Being 22 I felt judged in other places for being quiet young but here I didn’t, they made me feel so relaxed. Will definitely make the 2 and a half hour trip again!

We picked up a used car yesterday. We live around 2.5 hours away and travelled down a couple of weeks ago for a viewing and test drive with Darren. The car was in amazing condition considering it is 4 years old and Darren was super helpful in explaining the different controls within what was my first automatic vehicle. During the test drive Darren was very accommodating of the fact we were not local and took us on a nice length route which allowed us to try the car at many different speeds. After this brilliant experience in a lovely car I decided to go ahead and place a deposit on the car on the day. Mercedes Southend were very accommodating about my current situation where I was waiting for my v5 to come through on my current car due to removing a private plate and agreed to sort a handover date once I had it through and had sold my current car. When sorting the handover I spoke to Daniel who was extremely helpful and responsive via email and arranged me a quick and convenient appointment, and even sent me a ‘sneak peak’ video of the car ready for collection. Our pick-up appointment was with Jack who was extremely welcoming and quickly sorted the payment and paperwork. Jack also kindly went over the controls within the car again as a refresh and even gave some personal advice over what to do if certain buttons were pressed accidentally. Overall our experience with Mercedes Southend was amazing and I am very glad we decided to make the trip down to them. Thank you everyone!

We bought our new car from Mercedes Southend and we dealt with Gil Oliveira for our handover. Gil was fantastic from start to finish, so friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We must have been there over an hour with Gil and by the end we felt like he was our friend! He made my wife and I a lovely latte, explained everything in detail and ensured we understood it all, never pressured us into buying any extras like the service package, even though we did, and when we had a small little picky issue, Gil acted like nothing was a problem and had it solved within minutes. We would 100% recommend Gil, and if you visit Mercedes Southend and end up seeing him, you'll be in good hands. Car given to garage on 20/09/2023, it is now 09/11/2023. Explained to me I can take it on 07/11/2023 after test drive, had no phone call so I called and was told after there repair it’s caused more faults. Garage never answer the phone can take 5 days to get hold of anyone. If you want your car back quick don’t take it here as I’ve been waiting 7 weeks and have no date when I’ll be getting it back.

If I could leave no stars I would!I’m discussed and appalled with the level of service I have received today at Mercedes Leigh-on-sea. Myself and my brother in law approached the company at the point of upgrade on my Mercdese GLC.I would like to make it clear that the 3 main people I have have conversed with during this potential purchase are:- Da silva Oliviera Gil- ⁠Dan- ⁠Nick (Manager)I was originally promised a Mercedes C class with exclusive luxury addition pack. With this being a massive selling point for me, as I always look for the highest speck on my vehicles, I proceeded to ask what does this package include.DAN proceeded to explain the package has everything a AMG premium plus has and more. So I googled this and was extremely satisfied with this package.I then placed a deposit with the confidence that I have found a vehicle that meets the criteria that I had been looking for. The APR being only 9.5%. This, I was happy with.I placed a deposit with confidence I had found the car I wanted. I then requested images of the car to be sent over as soon as possible.When the images finally come through, the car I assumed I was buying was not what had been promised! The vehicle had no spec and was nothing like described.I contacted de silva explaining there must be a mistake. He then explained that if I want the vehicle they previously described, then the APR will go from 9.5% to 12% APR. Please bear in mind the car I originally wanted is cheeper and some how the monthly payments have gone UP by £106 MORE.We debating this back and forth for longer than needed. He tried to make us feel as if we had no idea what we was talking about (even though I have worked in car dealerships for years)The story changed on multiple occasions. The manager said this is how I process things, and if we wasn’t satisfied then they can’t do anything further.I now have to wait for my deposit to be refunded ontop of Christmas. They are full of lies and this absolutely discusting behaviour by management and staff. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM LEIGH ON SEA MERCADES THEY WILL SCAM YOU INTO A DREAM TO GET MORE MONEY FROM YOU.

Picked up our new (approved) car today. From the second we walked into the garage last weekend we have had excellent service from everyone we met. Even our children were kept busy and looked after while we were looking round.James (Waller) was polite, knowledgable and made us feel very comfortable in purchasing our car. We are really pleased with it and the excellent service we got from him.We finished by dealing with Gil who took us through all the final part and spent time with us showing us our lovely new car and making sure we were comfortable to drive away.Would definitely recommend. Having picked up my new Mercedes yesterday afternoon, I have nothing but positive feedback for team at Mercedes Southend, especially Ben and Gil. From my very first interaction with Ben through to the handover with Gil, I was looked after with professionalism and care. I cannot recommend the team enough and this has been such a wonderful experience for me.
