My partner and me went for a lunch at the Loopy Shrew today. I made the mistake of booking at the wrong time but they were more than happy to work it out for us and sat us down soon after we arrived. We were served by Ian whom was very friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks were great. Would highly recommend visiting!

Popped in for brunch with my husband before heading into town for shopping.The food was delicious and the service from the blonde lady on the front desk and the young lady making the hot drinks was amazing. It's a shame that the short haired lady who served us (and others) seemed so anti-social and miserable.The atmosphere here was relaxing albeit busy and it was very clean.Would recommend to others and probably go again.

Visited venue for a party. Very nice place in a good location. Staff were very friendly on the whole but a staff member did accidentally spill a whole tray of drinks over my brother then said I'm having a bad night" and walked off. We didn't see him again and someone else sorted it all out"

Went for a meal on an early Saturday evening. Service good as was food. Menu is quite small but the portions were good and food tasty. Reasonable price for a gastro pub too. Nice vibe in there

Went on 13th October 10 of us for a 21st it was amazing we had a dinning area up stairs just for us it was brilliant the staff were the best they went above and beyond even getting balloons and a banner decorating the room for me. It was great Dan the DJ was lovely. Would highly recommend could not fault at all. Food was out of this world will be returning soon. Cracking place thank you Loopy Shrew. Debbie and the gang Hannah had a great 21st here.

The Loopy Shrew
An anniversary meal brought us to the Loopy Shrew. We sat in the bar until closer to our reservation time and the staff came to tell us the table was ready. An excellent menu with an equally good veggie/vegan menu too. Food was in generous portions, tasted delicious and the accompanying wine was reasonably priced as well. Service was fine with all staff very polite and helpful.

12 of us went for the 3 course Christmas menu ..food was absolutely amazing ..came out quick ..staff were lovely and polite ..but why ram so many tables in 1 room ?? Packed in like sardines ..our table had chairs at the top and there was no room to even get in nevermind eat comfortably..and the girl at the other end was being pushed and shoved by everyone who went past ..including waitresses with trays of food and drink ...the manager did apologise and put 2 bottles on the table

Went in at 0915, was seated quickly, took ages for someone to come over and get my order, took just under 30 minutes for my coffee. It wasn't overly busy in there. Disappointed by this. Breakfast and drinks came out quicker for people who arrived after me.

Review as a bar, didn't stay. Friendly staff, good range of beer and cocktails, happy hour prices - see photo -. Only gave it four stars as a service charge was added to the bill. Wasn't made aware of it and for 3 drinks, is a little cheeky in my opinion.
