I highly recommend against their services after experiencing one of the worst and most condensending experience with their optometrist. After having done my eye check with an optometrist elsewhere, I was provided with a voucher for a contact lens trial where the provider told me to make a booking with boots. I came to the store twice to enquire about it, and they insisted that the trial can only be conducted via a contact lens appointment, yet it will be free with the voucher. I had to wait 2 weeks for the appointment. On arriving for my appointment, I had to wait for more than 17 minutes before I was seen.During my wait, I also noticed another customer who turned up with a booked appointment where they are not able to locate the records - after a bit back and forth, they were going to squeeze him into a 12:30 appointment at 12:16 ( when my appointment at 12 haven't even been started). Since my appointment hasn't even started at 12:17, how are they going to finish it at 12:30? This is the first clue when I noticed how chaotic and 'ethical' their arrangements are.On having sat down, the first thing the optometrist asked me was that if I am aware that the meeting costs £35 ( and not a single apology about the wait).I had explained to her multiple times with the situation with the voucher. She refused to consider the conversation and the situation that I've had multiple times with her other colleagues, and the entire time she keeps mentioning 'this is not how things are done in this country'.To me her attitude is extremely condensending and unprofessional, and I am extremely disappointed by the fact she straight up refused to even listen to my situation and the misunderstanding with the trial and information that was given to me. ( I had visited enough optonomist in this country to know that she is feeding me complete BS)She later on pulled in her colleague to further pressure her point, and by that time, given their I'll management of time, even if I were to agree to paying the fee, they require the appointment to be pushed by 2 hours given that it ran out of time ( but it was them who only started seeing me at 12:17 for a 12:00 appointment). Their time management is simply horrible. After this whole frustrating experience, I have decided that I simply will not waste any more single minute of my time with them. I went ahead and looked up online for another contact lens trial from one of their major competitor, and was able to book a free assessment and trial with no fuss. The optometrist is truly unprofessional, condensending, and during this whole experience I felt being discriminated against ( I am not British, though I've been in this country long enough to tell what's right or wrong service.) I highly, highly encourage you to take your business elsewhere, and for boots to ensure they train and manage their staff right. She is a horrible front that simply drives customers away.

I ordered glasses from here - when I arrived to collect them, I pointed out that they had a scratch on the lens. The optician apologised and advised that they should have been checked before I was called to collect them - clearly they had not been checked and they had to be sent back to the manufacturer. Weeks after ordering my glasses, I am still without them and when I called for an update, I was told I would be called back but I have still not heard anything. The store looks great but the whole staff set up seems really disorganised. Really disappointed.

Good, efficient service. Staff knew what they were doing - especially the optometrist who was excellent.

Service poor, ignored, selected our own glasses and asked to order for the Boots prescription we already had, asked to sit down and then ignored for 20 minutes. How hard can it be to order reading frames with an existing prescription? Lost sale as we have other things to do today.

Manager has no respect for customer's time. Could not be bothered to return my call to explain why my long awaited appointment was cancelled with little notice, no reason and absolutely no apology whatsoever. Entire day wasted!

Excellent service from their staff. The eye test was carried out very well and professionally by their optician. Their dispensing optician also knew what frame would suit best depending on your face shape and was very helpful. Had a very pleasant experience. Would recommend.

I went in for a contact lens check and eye test. I interacted with 3 staff. All were extremely polite, professional, friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault them at all. Nicely refurbished store and new equipment also. Everything was immaculately clean.
