First time visitingCalled in on a late warm and sunny Monday afternoon when recommended as a place to enjoy a cold Guinness and we thank Jack for the recommendation.Young lady behind the bar was very polite, efficent and friendlyThe Guinness was as good as it getsNice comfortable atmosphere in the bar areaOutside there's adecent size garden with plenty of seating to sit and enjoy the weatherAlthough we didn't have time to sample the food the menu looked reasonably priced with plenty of choicesThey also have a specials board.We are both looking forward to a return visit to enjoy the cold Guinness and to sample some of the food.Thanks to Jack Atherton for the recommendation and we also enjoyed the companyCheers.

Had lunch there today and had lobster main with a very fresh banofee pie for dessert. Nice place and friendly service portions where of a large size which suited me fine , well done everyone.

Terrific service! Even when one of the food items wasn't 100% right, they bent over backward to put things right and kept checking back to make sure we were happy. Our host was warm and friendly, so a huge thank you to him.

A great country pub, frequented by locals. Had a great atmosphere. This is a real English pub and so different from the London pubs marketed as English pubs

Lovely lunch! Good menu selection considering we visited on a Sunday. Food arrived piping hot and in a timely manner. Well stocked bar with a good selection of drinks. Attentive and friendly staff. Would definitely return.

This was our first time to this really buzzy pub,we were made very welcome by james the bar manager, the food was good but we wished we had had the fish and chips because it looked fabulous.

Nice local pub, I’ve had good and average experiences in here. If it’s busy the wait can be long and the staff could be better at letting you know that. Food was good maybe a little pricey but not expensive, still worth a visit if you’re passing.

The White Horse
I've eaten here twice in the past few weeks and both times it was incredible. The food is exceptional, the staff are wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect, getting cosy by the fire. I highly recommend eating here and if you do, check the specials board, they have a great chef who cooks everything beautifully
