From the moment I walked in there was intrusive questioning, asking infront of other customers how much cash I was depositing. Then the machine didn't register the amount I deposited and was actually £20 less. I had to ask a customer service person for my receipt for proof of deposit and am still waiting to be contacted to see if the machine reconciled at the end of the day, until then I am out of pocket, and have to find time to re visit the branch. The customer on the next machine also experienced similar. Her customer service person returned her cash and suggested she deposit at the manned counter downstairs. When the customer asked if there was queue, the answer was I don't know" and the staff member walked away. Surely it would have been better if the staff could have deposited for her and given her a receipt. Not good enough bank of Scotland

If the receptionist told you to get down stairs for bank statements, do not trust, may you will be provoked as well by customer service, find different branches may they help.

Visited the branch to move an account to another Bank , the service was shocking . We were downstairs for an hour to do transfer and then sent upstairs to close the account and was advised by the person closing the account her tablet stop working she just stormed off and got another advisor to finish the closure . Absolutely no manners no customer service so glad I advised my mother in law to close all account 30 years a customer and treated like dirt and you wonder why all the high trees branches are closing . Some advise get staff that are happy to help for start .

Last week I went to this bank to deposit the money, and the staff asked me how much I would deposit. I said 700 and the staff said ‘you couldn't put so much money in the cash machine’ and ‘you need to come back tomorrow’, and! He told me I had to use this machine in the morning to deposit 700. That does not even make any sense! What kind of rules for people have to put money through a machine over 500 in the morning? Precisely in the morning? I told him if I can't deposit 700, how about 300? He said he couldn't trust me because I told him I needed to deposit 700. I was furious. This money was meant to pay for my medicine and was an emergency. I had to let him stand by me and watch me do the whole deposit process to let him make sure I actually put in 300 rather than 700. Very bad attitude, horrible service, and no respect.

Had an issue with HSBC that required me to go to this BOS branch to update my address and get a printed bank statement. What would have taken probably over an hour in the HSBC branch took about twenty minutes here.Service was quick, staff were all lovely and understanding of my issue - updated my address and printed a bank statement for me. Customer service here is 10/10 - even just looking around at other interactions while waiting, all the staff looked attentive and helpful. The branch itself has a cafe which is very cool especially if you know you’ll be there a while. Door and floor staff were kind and friendly, immediately asking me what I was visiting for and directing me to the person I’d need to speak to.Overall a great experience and so far I have had no issues with Bank Of Scotland generally. Would recommend!!

Horrendous! Seriously WHY is the human interaction area downstairs? Wouldn't it have made more sense to put the café downstairs? Also when a neurodiverse human (identified by TWO lanyards) enters the vicinity of the building DO NOT just assume it can walk to where it needs to go... ASK what the access requirements are. Furthermore, your staff need to be more efficient. After the debacle of this afternoon, I'll be going to the East Kilbride branch and ONLY the East Kilbride branch. WISE UP!
