Been here quite a few times. Ate with family today, had Hunter's Chicken with a small Mocha (chose to have coconut milk in mine).Chips were a bit cold when they arrived, but otherwise food was lovely.

Went to Patisserie Valerie at the Southend branch as a sweet ending to our trip for the day. We hadn't been here for quite a number of years, so we thought whilst we were nearby we might as well go there.I ordered the somewhat confusingly named Pumpkin Spice Latte" which happened to be a cake - not a drink

The worst experience what I had serving cappuccino instead of flat white in take away cup as I didn't plan to stay.My toddler changed his mind to get a cake from the shop so asked a cake to Eat In from the same blonde girl. And she told me I paid for a take away coffee so I will not be given a seat to eat that piece of cake. They told me to eat outside with my TAKE AWAY COFFEE.And well that is extremely rude as I wanted my 4 years old sitting down and eating that cake was given.I paid for that!!!By the way the cake was dry and I asked for a new one which was not again a new cake... I know how guys selling cakes, first sell the old and leave the fresh for later.Everywhere else has a same system. But specifically I asked a fresh one and the brown hair petite girl thrown the second cake for the plate for my child to eat.I didn't not make a cavalcade and a big chaos, I COULD.My child was standing next to me.YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED YOURSELF.I never ever go again to visit this overpriced, fake place.Know your price, worth and value but you don't even reach the standard.By the way change job if you don't like hospitality.

Overpriced, poor food and so extremely loud! The opposite of relaxing felt like being at work. Cake was stale on the end, and £4.50 for a small slice. Just go somewhere else - Avoid!

PV the best cake shop around. Amazing selection and service. We had the afternoon Tea. Great filled finger sandwiches, perfect smoked salmon. 4 scones 2 x plain & 2 x fruit with cream and jam. Plus good selection of cakes. Unlimited Tea or hot drinks

Absolutely brilliant service, Anna-Marie was amazing! Very friendly and clearly works very hard to ensure customers are happy and everything is running smoothly. We had the afternoon tea and would definitely come again. The sandwiches and cakes/ scones were delicious especially for the price.Update:I went here again for afternoon tea and it was just as amazing as the first time. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be returning!

Visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday afternoon with my partner and two little ones, with the vouchers for afternoon teas. Unfortunately they seemed to be understaffed so there was a wait to be seated and the service was generally slow. The afternoon teas themselves were presented nicely, with a good variety of sweets. The sandwiches were a little bland and the scones were very small but the flavours were good. If I had paid the full price at the restaurant then I would have been disappointed but for what we paid it was perfectly acceptable. The venue is located in the middle of Southend high street with plenty of parking available, it is both clean and tidy and also wheelchair accessible, although I probably wouldn’t visit at busy times with a disabled guest as the tables are spaced very close together. Afternoon Tea should be a quiet, relaxing experience, this is certainly not possible here at peak times so just bear that in mind.

Waited 5 minutes at the counter, was ignored. Wasn't busy and as I went to leave one of the people serving shouted hello at me. Was a little too late, I was seen standing there just a quick 'I'll be with you in a minute' would've been perfect. I left without purchasing anything and was happy to have spent money as it's my birthday today and wanted to buy some cake.
