Petes a great trainer and the facilities are top notch. I have tried many different forms of training this one is by far the best - so easy to get motivated and feel great after it. I attended for 6 weeks before I injured myself ( outside the gym!) and lost near 2 stone in 6 weeks - looking forward to coming back soon. Friendly faces and no one judging you, you just get on with your own thing to best of your ability and you soon see the changes !

Absolutely love CaveFit and everything it's allowed me to achieve. It is a dynamic circuit based class that will make you sweat and it has helped me to drop an entire dress size in 3 weeks! Pete is an absolutely amazing trainer and motivator. Cant recommend highly enough!

My wife and I were visiting Edinburgh and found CaveFit online as we were looking for somewhere to do CrossFit style training with open gym slots. Very well equipped gym with high quality equipment. Everyone was very friendly and will definitely be booking back in whenever we are next up.

I had a bad experience with this gym. I signed up for their starting deal for 55 pounds for the first month. But, the website was not set up for the deal, so most of the time it did not let me log in to book a spot. I tried going a few times. During the first time, I said I was new. I did not really get an introduction. The open gym requires a pin to enter which I never got. The wifi did not work. It is a very small gym and feels like everyone knows each other, but are not open to getting to know new people. I sent an email asking for the pin and a few other questions. The email never got a reply. I also called a few times and the calls never went through? Also things like not having the changing room pin because I was told it once when I was going into the work out class with where to write it down. And then when I came back, it was out of hours for anyone to work there to ask. Also, from what I can gather, only one of the rooms is available during open gym time. Making it rather difficult to have access to a squat rack. The gym in general really felt impersonal, hard to book, and more aesthetic than functional. An introduction email or someone taking time (more than a minute) to show me around would have been amazing.

The absolute best!Found them online, I’m visiting for two weeks and need a place to go work out everyday. You book online and the gym is downstairs in the hotel (get a PIN code at reception to get to the locker room). Can’t say enough good things — the gym is new and equipment is amazing. You get your own set of kettlebells and dumbbells to chose from. Staff is amazing and all the regulars are super lovely. An absolute gem!

Big shoutout to Siri, Laura, Jenny and Amy for the incredible StrongHER classes every Saturday! It’s so inspiring to be around such a strong and supportive community of women, and everyone is made to feel so welcome, no matter their fitness goals or training experience.I’ve learnt so much about female specific lifestyle and training topics each week , as well as getting in a killer workout in every session! Thank you so much to the girls for all of their help and support: I’m so glad I stumbled upon CaveFit, and have found such a positive and empowering community to become a part of!

I was in Edinburgh for about 3 weeks teaching as part of a study abroad program and attended 9 sessions while there. I can say that if I lived in Edinburgh, Cavefit would be the gym for me! I All of the staff were fantastic, knowledgeable and great motivators and the other clients really have created a wonderful community. The setup for Cavefit is similar to the gym in my home city, even the boxes, dumbbells, bikes and ski/rower were the same except everything was in kg not pounds :-). Great program and I highly recommend folks join if they are in Scotland.

Great gym in the heart of Edinburgh. All the sessions I've been to have been amazing. The sessions will really challenge you and all the trainers will push you for that max effort. They also offer classes for mobility and workshops to improve your technique.

Was in town for a few days and wanted to try out a local gym for a HIIT-style class to keep the weight off while I stuffed my face with Cullen Skink, haggis, gelato, shortbread, and other goodies.Found CaveFit allowed you to sign up for individual classes for a fee without requiring a membership. Plus, their website was the most straightforward and easiest to work with. So decided to go with them.I can only speak for the Conditioning class. I didn’t sign up for the other classes or the open gym. It’s similar to a CrossFit class. Pretty intense if you’ve never done one. Obviously based on the name, there is more focus on conditioning than strength so don’t expect too much dumbbell/barbell usage in this particular class. Both classes I attended I was gassed by the end. If you are lucky to be doing group work, your team really pushes you and I loved that, especially since I didn’t know any of them. Can’t say enough about the people. Everyone from the trainers to the regulars were really nice and welcoming. I’ve only ever encountered this at my current gym back home. Major shout out to Lyndsay (so sorry if I misspelled the name), who was super sweet and welcoming!A few things I’ll point out:Firstly, CaveFit is located inside of Cheval The Edinburgh Grand hotel. When you go through the front doors, take a left and you’ll see the CaveFit sign. Head down the stairs and you’ll eventually find your way to the gym.Secondly, there isn’t a front desk or staff just hanging around to greet guests (from what I could see). If you go to a class, they will check you in during class. Not sure how it works if you sign up for Open Gym.Thirdly, the locker rooms are locked and it seems only members have the combination to the key pad lock. I simply brought a back pack and set it in a corner in the class. Would highly recommend if you’re not a member and decide to come, you should dress beforehand and perhaps not plan on showering afterwards (although you could always ask someone to open the locker room door for you).

Great atmosphere at every training sessions. Good workout as targets all body parts and high intensity which I really enjoy to keep the heart rate up.Great that the circuit changes every week so lots of change and variety in the workouts! Definitely feel stronger and fitter for attending.
