A great facility that I didn't know existed until I got there! Loads of space for the kids to roam, lots of possible activities and adventures to be had. We dropped our eldest of for a forest school day and he absolutely loved it! From what I saw the facilities are basic but sufficient for what's needed for spending time in the great outdoors.

What a fantastic place for scouts and businesses to come to, a huge amount of activities to do there, and lots of games to hire as well. For a big site lots of separation between campsites, the grounds are well maintained and the “hall” called Gummys is a great place to hold events, It looks fresh as has had some time spent on decoration inside and the kitchen is fully usable with a large gas oven fridge and freezer double sinks microwave kettles, full cutlery and cooking utensils are provided. The addition of the new toilet block outside is wonderful, with showers in all three sets of restrooms. The Range is coming along with lots of equipment available for hire they can even provide a trained instructor if required, the cave is an amazing experience with plenty of tunnels to express and gain skills and have fun, again a trained instructor can be provided when you book the cave out. Beautiful grounds to have a good walk around for hours with the large campfire circle providing a fantastic setting for a big campfire. The carpark is on the small side but with prior planning if multiple groups are attending or even large groups it can be arranged for car parking supervisors to be in attendance (best give as much notice as possible as this whole site is run by volunteers that are doing an outstanding job)The campsite in the whole has a nice vibe to it weather you are the only one there or if it's heaving with Young people and adults alike it's a fantastic way to be out in nature if you are lucky enough to be there when it quiet the deer are very present there and can be seen eating and lazing around the main field.Have seen the absolute joy of inner-city young people seeing a large open space they can explore and enjoy and gain skills for life from.
