If I could give it 0 I wouldMy boyfriend was kicked out for no reason, and the security grabbed his friend and dragged him out of the crowd for following my boyfriend out. I was then pushed several times by security and was told if I got involved I’d “have consequences”. They then didn’t listen to anything I said about being abused by staff, kicked us out and was laughing at us behind the gate. Disgusting place and disgusting staff, the way we were treated was discriminatory and I would never go here again.

They had Fabio and Grooverider playing on a tiny sound system on the opening night, only two barely medium size PA speakers are not enough to fill the room or create a vibe. They've spent money on the lights but that doesn't matter.It's not a rave unless it's on a massive floor shaking sound system, time to get a VOID.

XOYO… where do we start. me and my girlfriend had the absolute best time. the location is perfect, it’s exactly what Birmingham needed. every single room we walked (boogied) into was pure vibes. Seeing Charlie Tee and other great DJs live was an amazing experience too. The drinks are a good price, the smoking areas are great. overall, insane place and we will 10000000% be going again and again and again.

Absolutely shocking security / venue mgmt staff. Manbag ban, backwards caps only, bursting through toilet cubicles if you take more than a few seconds to do your thing, god forbid you need a poo.Door staff were aggressive and wildly disrespectful upon arrival, unbelievably combative re: dumb venue rules -which by the way, not advertised when buying tickets for events at XOYO. If I'd known, I'd have worn something with pockets instead of clutching onto my belongings for dear life all night.It was £6 minimum for the flattest pint of lukewarm piss beer I've ever had the misfortune of consuming. The only saving grace of this venue were the acts they booked, literally everything else was a total shambles. XOYO sucks

Great opening night! The new venue looked amazing and the staff were very friendly. Sound systems and production were spot on on every room, and and every room was a vibe, with a different selection on music in each one! Definitely going back.

A lovely little venue with a brilliant atmosphere and amazing staff all round. Staff were very helpful and looked after us all night, we had a good laugh. Shout out to Cam who looked after us the most, such a kind gent and went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and had a good night - many thanks Cam!! Again such a lovely venue and the entrance for disability was good too, thank you to all the staff who helped us in and out as it was our 1st time here. Was lovely to see staff standing out in the cold with us when Passenger came out to meet people, it helped us all feel safe and at ease as we were in the dark and in an unfamiliar place. Hope to visit again sometime and 100% recommend this place. Thank you staff!

First time since the Mill for Yung Singh, sound system is top notch. Everyone super friendly didn’t have issues with security like other reviews read, waitress Esme made our night.Only thing is cloakroom does get full half way through the night and doesn’t accept anything else

Not seen a bad gig here. Big enough to get a good sized crowd, but small enough to be intimate. Staff are always helpful and friendly.
