I can't recommend Celtic Equine Vets enough, Alan and his teams knowledge and professionalism are second to none. The staff in the office are super organised, helpful and friendly.You can always count on Celtic Equine Vets to be there for you and your horse they have the latest diagnostic equipment and its so much easier to be able to have detailed work ups/investigation/treatments etc carried out at your yard.

I cannot recommend Celtic Equine Vets enough. Starting from the office staff who are really helpful, quick to respond and keep everything easy and simple to book with always calm no matter how stressful the situation is.All the vets at the practise are knowledgeable, helpful and even when your horse isn't being overly helpful still maintain a smile and take their time.The breadth of knowledge is great too and access to equipment means that things that can be diagnosed on site rather than having a horse go to hospital. Over the past few years my horses have not made things simple but luckily had a tooth problem diagnosed and treated, hind ulcers found and treated at the yard and mystery lameness investigated. All with horses that really don't like vets ! Getting work ups, diagnosis and treatment at the stable where the horse is most comfortable is such a help.

Highly recommended Celtic. Chloe, Emma and Alan are absolutely amazing with my particularly awkward mare and yearling; they are extremely patient and understanding. All of the office staff are fantastic too, they're all friendly and respond quickly. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

I have used Celtic Equine Vets for many years, from the office through to the vets they have always been extremely professional, helpful, honest and caring. I don't write many reviews however Chloe Visited yesterday to Geld one off our boys and the service and knowledge was fantastic.

I have been using Celtic Equine Vets since they started the practice and I would 100% recommend them. I have had 2 visits in the last week, one of which was an emergency. Alan was amazing in treating our mare who had colic, it was a very upsetting couple of days but thanks to Alan she is now doing great. Chloe visited us this week for routine dental treatment and was very thorough and explained what she had found, she spent time talking through ways we could overcome the mares behaviour/trust issues which will really help.

Very knowledgeable and quick to respond to emails and telephone calls. They don't instigate unnecessary visits and they work with you, your horse, and your circumstances. Explanations are pitched to your level of understanding. It's clear every member of staff is a horse specialist, and they truly care about your horse and you.Highly recommend.

I have used Celtic Equine Vets for my horse for a number of years now. Originally I was recommended to Alan for equine dental work but quickly moved all my equine work to the practice as I was impressed with the professionalism and the dedicated approach of the practice vets. Over the years they have responded to both routine and emergency calls for me. Alan himself is always very calm, reassuring and knowledgeable but I have dealt with a number of other vets at the practice and always been impressed. In addition to the day to day practice work Celtic are happy to provide information about the latest equine risks and management techniques - I've attended a couple of very good evening talks laid on by them which were useful and informative. I would thoroughly recommend this practice.

Thanks to Caroline for sorting out my pony's abscess. She has been kind, skillful and patient. The staff have all been friendly and very helpful since we joined the practice.As a follow-up to my review my pony had developed quite a needle phobia after needing a lot of procedures over the winter. Chloe has been absolutely fantastic using positive behaviour techniques to desensitise her. With great patience and good humour she was able to do a dental check and take a blood sample with no drama at all. Cannot thank her enough.

Celtic Equine agreed to come and do blood tests and swabs for my 3 horses as well as flu vaccinations for export. Claire chased one of my horses around the yard and his stable for almost an hour to try and get a blood sample. I asked for him to be sedated but she refused, saying that it wasn’t an option because he is needle shy. She then wanted to twitch him against my wishes but it soon became clear that wasn’t an option as he was so scared.Finally she Agreed to sedate him with Sedalin which I had to administer. Whilst waiting for that to work, Claire did the vaccinations, blood tests and swabs for the other two horses.Once the sedative was working it still took a few goes to get the blood sample from my gelding as he was so scared.I have returned to Australia and trying to rebuild my life with PTSD, anxiety and depression as a result of events whilst I was living in the UK. When chased by Laura for payment I explained my health and that I had queries which I would send. Alan then replied with the most arrogant email I have ever seen. He claims that I put his vet at risk and that they didn’t want to take me on as a new client but begrudgingly they did. Nothing could be further from the truth. I allege Alan saw potential £££ for testing for 3 horses to be exported to Australia and jumped at the chance.I won’t be paying the bill and waiting for a refund for the queried items. I will send the queries and once the invoice is amended then you will receive payment.
