It was just a wee night away for my husband and myself with dinner! No cooking or washing up and someone else making and serving breakfast was lovely! The views were gorgeous, the room a bit small and I disliked the pillows but everything was clean! Lounge and restaurant was lovely, food was good! Staff lovely, chatty, friendly and helpful! Decorations were AMAZZZZING! Just gorgeous! Surroundings lovely, sitting looking over the water! Too far out though without a car, very expensive if you had to use a taxi all the time!

Overall nice two night stay. Our loch view room was nice, but on the small side. Bed not the comfiest, but fine for a night or two. Food and drinks in the restaurant are good, would definitely recommend the Ox Cheeks, and the black pudding stuffed chicken. Fish and chips were a large portion, but the chips were disappointing. Service and breakfast was good, and so was the food. One of the main negative points is you need to exit the hotel and walk outside to get to the restaurant/bar area…not great in poor weather.

We dined at the restaurant as a group of 5 adults and 2 children. The food was great, and came promptly. However the service after our main course was out, was terrible. We were sat with our finished dinner plates for 45 minutes until I had to ask for somebody to clear our table. We weren't asked if we wanted more drinks the entire time (which saved us money really!). Highly recommend the food but disappointing service. It wasn't even that busy, with groups of staff gathering and chatting around the bar.

We had a really great meal here tonight. Atmosphere was buzzing as the place was very full and the food was excellent. Service was a little bit random at times but the quality of the food really made up for it. Would definitely come again.

Disappointed to be charged extra to swap mash for chips and a bit of upselling going on? Veg supplied was not as per menu. Food tasty but unremarkable. Great location.

This place is getting unfavorable reviews due to their inept restaurant staff (for dinner). The rooms were well appointed, in a fantastic setting, and the hotel staff were kind and accommodating. Honestly, this place is gorgeous! The restaurant staff for breakfast (Windows on the Loch) were attentive and fantastic. The dinner restaurant is a completely different story. Super slow service and inattentive staff despite seeming to be well staffed. So if you come to Duck Bay for only the dinner portion, I’m sorry to say, you’ll be disappointed with the service. The food was good, but the service was awful. I would recommend this place as a vacation/holiday destination, I’m just not sure I would willingly have dinner here again. We considered cancelling our accommodations after reading several poor reviews in the past several months but we’re happy we didn’t. The hotel side of Duck Bay is perfect! Please ignore the folks giving this place bad reviews due to them only having dinner here.

Gave us a fantastic afternoon for my deaf cousins birthday party. Scenery and location couldn't have been better and we were given the table with what was probably the best view in the restaurant. Staff were so friendly and helpful and food was delicious.

I LOVE this restaurant! I had the best cooked breakfast there (and I am very fussy!). It was beautifully decorated for autumn and we got a lovely view over the loch.The food was piping hot and the coffee is strong. They offer alternative milk and gluten free options.I cannot praise this place enough.As a haiku:Autumn hues, loch views,Breakfast for a fussy taste,Praise for warmth and brews.

Duck Bay Hotel & Restaurant
We were seated at a large booth round table and given menus. (Menus smelled like body oder).Good choice of foods on the menu, food and drinks arrived in good time and there were no complaints from any of us.It got busy in the restaurant around 2pm and I had to go up to the host stand to get someone to take my payment after waiting for 15 minutes at the table with the bill.All in all, would recommend.

Duck Bay Hotel & Restaurant
Restaurant is right on the edge of Loch Lomond with terrific views . Whole place was decorated in autumn/Halloween theme. Charmed by the vibe !!Stopped over for quick lunch but ended up spending leisurely. They have good choice of food and drinks .
