Family Dental Practice

Very friendly and reassuring dental practice and dentists.Waiting room, reception and surgeries are always nice and clean, dentist always puts myself and children at ease, prices (when I have had to pay) always seem far cheaper than I expect.

I have a phobia of dentist's as most people do, but I can honestly say that this is the best dentist I have seen for many years! I had to have a tooth removed today and the dentist & staff at this practice put me at ease and made the whole experience more bearable, I cannot praise them enough!

Arthur and his team at Shipston’s Family Dental Practice are truly the best dentists you could ever want. Arthur has looked after my teeth for 15 years now. Through many fillings, root canal work, crowns extractions. A lot - an awful lot - of treatment. He is excellent in his practise, kind, thorough, explains really well what is happening to me, what I am about to experience or feel in a really gentle reassuring way. I was terrified of dentists as a child. I was the nightmare kid who cried and wouldn’t accept injections or treatment; and I had many fillings. Today Arthur extracted my tooth with at least 4 injections. I felt safe, reassured, almost able to relax. And his nurse was so so kind, helping me and encouraging me. I cannot fault their excellent care. Thank you Shipston Family Dental.

You wouldn’t be able to find a better staffed Dental Practice than Family Dental. All staff so helpful and kind. Really grateful for an exceptional experience from start to finish. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

14/11/22 - First visit for me and it was a pleasant experience… polite, professional staff all round from reception, dentist and assistant technician. I highly recommend this practice and although private dental treatment is considered rather pricey ‘in the uk’… it’s certainly, well worth it here. Thank you. Chris J

Without doubt, the best dental treatment I've ever received in my entire life.Efficient, professional, caring and friendly.

It is not often that I am shocked by horrendously bad customer service but the Shipston Family Dental Practice has taken rudeness to a new level.Several of my friends go to this practice so I called up to make an appointment to have a filling replaced.The receptionist was unbelievable rude and dismissive. Explained that I wanted to make and appointment and she said “There are no appointments for three months” and then put the phone down!My shock was profound as normally service in this area of the UK is very good. I took a moment to gather my wits and called her back to ask if she meant that there were no NHS appointments. She snapped back at me “Yes, that is what I said!” I then informed her that I wanted to make a private appointment and never ever mentioned the NHS and she was struck silent. After a few moments she resumed her aggressively, confrontational style and I decided that I could not be bothered to deal with someone so pathetically bad at her job.I went to another dentists practice and I made sure to explain what had happened at Family Dental Practice. I know also make a point to tell this story at every dinner party or gathering I attend in Shipston.One of my friends discussed this situation up with one of the partners and was told “Oh, it’s a difficult job, maybe she was under pressure” which I find to be a very surprising way of managing potential customers.I then saw reviews of this practice on the NHS Choices website amongst others which detailed the same rude treatment of people by the practice and was not at all surprised.I am however surprised to see that they have managed to have some of the reviews removed.

Very friendly husband and wife team. Keen to save teeth rather than extract. Stick to NHS pricing bands and don't do the minimum. Clean very modern treatment rooms. Restored my faith in dentists and no longer fear going.

I was really impressed with my visit to this dental practice last week for my 2 year olds first check up. The receptionists were so friendly and welcoming, I witnessed one of them offering extra care to help an elderly patient. The Dentist we saw had such a calming nature which really helped put my daughter at ease having her first check up, he was great with her and I really appreciate how family friendly this practice is.

Brilliant experience today with Arthur, and met the dental hygienist for the first time! I've been a patient there since they opened, and it's always been a great service.
