Good customer service, generous portion sizes and awesome decor. I would have appreciated a cold water bottle. I had to ask for ice as it was warm. The chapali kebab was delicious. Kabuli Pilau rice was nice but the meat didn't have much flavour.

Karwan is a must try for any Afghan Cuisine lovers! 2 of us visited the restaurant on a late Saturday night, 1 hour before closing time to be precise. As a result there was no waiting time and we were shown to our table as soon as we entered. After a warm welcome, the waitress talked us through the menu as we weren’t sure if all items were still available due to the time we had come for. Everything was still available and the waitress also suggested her own recommendations too. After ordering, the food came within 30 mins.We ordered- Mix Grill for 2- Chapali Kebab- Kabuli PilauThe Mix Grill was still sizzling as it came out and had a great variety. My favourite item from the mix grill was the ‘Lamb Chopan’, small lamb pieces that just melted in your mouth. The Chicken shish were also delicious, each being soft and succulent. We were recommended the Chapali Kebab and I have to say WOW. The Chapali Kebabs were crispy on the outside but soft and juicy on the inside making it a perfect combination. The kebabs were not spicy but were full of flavour that would leave a nice aftertaste. This was my first time trying the Kabuli Pilau and it is one of the most unique yet tasty pilaus I have ever had. The raisins provided a sweet taste that goes with the pilau and carrots. The lamb shank was soft and tender with the meat just falling off the bone. Having said that, I did have a shank that seemed to have a lot of fat on which I had to remove.Overall a great experience, great food, good service and a family friendly restaurant. If I’m ever in Luton again, Karwan would be my first choice.

Had a great experience having watched an influencer go there. We were not disappointed. Plenty of seating available for a Sunday dinner. After we got there lots more families turned up and it was quite busy very quickly. The mixed grill was delicious as was the lamb korma. The meat on the grill was soft and not over done...just heavenly. The Chapli kebabs were great too...will definitely be back for more.

Went with some friends, and found this place to be an absolute hidden gem. You could tell it was something good because it was packed out, even in the middle of the week. We ordered chicken karahi, and chapali kebabs. The food took about 30mins but was absolutely worth the wait. The karahi came with big fat pieces of chicken in a delicious gravy, served in a wok, and was top-notch. However, the chapal kebabs were just something else. They were massive, served hot, perfectly spiced, and just outright delicious. Probably the best in Britain. The staff was really friendly, helpful and catered to our every need. Prices were also reasonable. Apologies, I was so engrossed with the food, I forgot to take any proper pics!Highly, highly recommended and would go again

I visited Karwan with family and friends; we didn't make a reservation, so had to wait about 5-10 minutes to be seated. It was incredibly busy, not for those who want a quiet dinner. Service was great; the staff were very accommodating. Food was tasty although rather expensive.
