Fox & Hounds Lower Harleston
This has to be the worst roast I’ve had I was actually shocked. Waited 40 minutes which was fine but cold veg tiny portion 1 small carrot and probably tablespoon of greens. No cutter oh brought so had to wait until after food had been sat in front of us for 5 minutes. Mac and cheese was plain pasta melted mozzarella on top no cheese sauce was awful. I’ve never ever left a bad review ever before. I made a complaint and the answer we got back was head office tell us what to put on the plate take it up with them!!!! No one checked how the meal was and wasn’t offered sauces condiments or anything I’ve never left a meal this shocked

Lovely atmosphere! Staff were fantastic but the wait for food was quite long - understandable on a busy Friday evening. Cocktails were very nice (recommend the mai tai). The food varied, calamari was lovely. The chicken burger was also great however the fries were standard. The desserts were average and I was particularly disappointed by the pavlova which was basically just a hollow meringue with a few berries around it.Overall an enjoyable meal!

Great quality food and relaxed atmosphere in a richly decorated space. The service has been great and the menus including the specials are a breath of fresh air compared to many chain gastro pubs. Although often busy, there's a good chance you can find a space for food and drink here. There's varied outdoor seating and some areas are pet-friendly.

Stopped at the pub after a long walk and was not disappointed. friendly staff and reasonable prices. Luckily we booked a table as it was very busy, even late afternoon. Ordered the Trio of Roasts as couldn't decide on a meat. Well worth it! Beef, pork and chicken, crackling, stuffing wrapped in bacon, bread sauce with some veggies hidden in there and a few roast potatoes.Chased this with a mini dessert (choc brownie) and a coffee. Wasn't as 'mini' as I thought it would be which was a nice surprise. Delicious.Nice setting too. Definitely recommend.

Had a work lunch here this afternoon and well looked after by the lovely waitress Leonie.I had a two course set lunch, a nourish salad bowl with mini dessert and coffee. Food is nicely plated, taste wise I think it needs a bit more salad dressing.

Had booked for two online on an easy to navigate website. On arrival (for lunch), was shown to our table that had been specifically requested for, by a window.Shannon the server, was courteous, professional & friendly. The food was great, & would highly recommend the Hallumi fries for starters.One trend that I encounter in most restaurants I visit, is that the service charge is only included for 6 or more customers. I find this a bit unfair, as the server, does a great job, be it for one or more customers. Service charge should be added & leave it for the customer to decide.Most customers believe it's already added onto the bill. I make it a point to get it included.Bill was £73.35 (excluding service charge), which was very reasonable.

Lovely pub with a dog friendly bar visted often, but this time we had meal in the restaurant for dinner. The Sunday roast was fantastic food served by friendly, helpful staff who surprised me with happy birthday on my dessert! Super place and highly recommend it.

Wow! Such a good restaurantWe came along for my wife’s birthday meal, the venue is just perfect. The decor, atmosphere and staff are simply perfect.The menu was so varied and I was impressed how much choice there was, the same for the drinks menu too.The food was just perfect, perfect portion size, tasted amazing. The lovely waitress also picked up on it was my wife’s birthday and her dessert came out on a special birthday plate.Overall such a lovely experience and made even better by having such an awesome waitress (Megan) whom my kids loved!Thank you, and we will see you again:)
