Gregg's, pay your people enough to bother having some product knowledge. The girl knew how to use the tongs and the till, but didn't even know what a Cornish pasty was. As for the food, it was warm and edible, but Gregg's will never be my first choice destination for lunch - it wasn't today, but the chippy was closed.

Staff were unhelpful and quite ignorant everything was too much effort and a customer asked if she could have the pastys hot as they were cold! She was told quite rudely no! Personally I'd of given them back and requested a refund if I'd received this answer!

Called this morning 25/11 around 10 am. For a coffee and to try a festive slice. Sadly was disgusted to see dogs occupying the seats outside. Not to mention a male member of after serving the dog owner a coffee, then stroking the dogs, and returning to serving, without washing his hands. Basic hygiene out the window. Went elsewhere.

Called in for a breakfast on way to work, food just ya standard satisfaction but the staff on the counter, really miserable, the young lady's, skinny glass seemed as tho she couldn't be bothered and slammed my food down...get some polite staff in

I love Greggs but this time I have go give a 2 star review.I’ve been first time in Cockermouth today to sort out some errands and went to Greggs to get a quick snack.I’ve ordered and when the working there realised that I’m not english he immediately threatened me with ignorance. After I payd he just turned around and carried didn’t say nothing.I realised that the transaction went through and I left shortly after.
