Best fish and chips in Brighton with the best views.One of us forget his wallet on table, we came back over an hour later and they had saved it for us. Honestly saved the day. Shout out to the lovely owners and the waiters !

Came here for lunch on a day trip to Brighton. Service was good, food was very delicious. There wasn't enough salt and vinegar as I hoped however I expect they wouldve given us more/put more on had I asked again. Got a coke zero too which was nice and cold for a super hot day. Lovely seating area. Fish was huge, soft and flakey, chips were soft AND crispy (perfect combo). Thank you!

AVOID THIS PLACE! Terrible food, terrible service! The chips were super soft and the fish was super dry. You have to pay extra for ketchup or mayo. The owner tried to threaten me to give them FIVE stars on Google Maps. I did not plan to write a review, but after this, I decided to. It was not a very warm day, mainly windy, the owner did not allow anyone or me to sit indoor. The toilet was horrible, the floor was full of water or pee. The lock can not be used properly. I rather eat at fast food restaurants like McDonald’s.

Decent fish and chips shop. Good food at reasonable prices. Portions are pretty small though. Service is quite slow too. Nice view right next to the beach.

Location is great, right by the pier with plenty of seating space. It wasn’t the cleanest but isn’t a total mess either.Fish n Chips: really good fish actually, very crispy on the outside, flavor on point. Chips were a little soft for my personal taste, but I still enjoyed them.Food took very short time to be ready, in around 5 min we were ready to eat!

Very friendly and jovial staff. Played games with my son. Making his birthday that much more enjoyable for him. Delicious food, and reasonable priced. Refill on chips with the captain's fish. Who'd have thought it. Brilliant definitely coming again.

Absolutely delicious fish and bottomless chips!!Cooked to order fish which was piping hot and basket of chips which was refilled as often as we wanted! Generous portion of tartare sauce too!Lovely friendly staff!East side of the pier which is not my usual roaming ground but SO pleased to have found ‘Captain’s’ will definitely be back.Inside and outside eating area!

It's absolutely amazing. Me and my friends came to Brighton for our first friend group holiday. We came to this side of the pier as we thought it was the best spot, and this led us to discover the existence of Captains. The first thing we saw was this hilarious girl with a megaphone encouraging people to buy food, so we decided to buy some. The food here is so amazing, the taste is absolutely beautiful, I've had the pleasure of experiencing both the cheesy chips and a large fish and chips and they were just legendary. I also brought a banana milkshake, and words can not describe how much I enjoyed it. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, we also made acquaintance with a nice lady called Sam. My final verdict is that I 100% agree that this is the best chippy in Brighton.

Appalling value for money. £14.00 and this was a large cod and chips! I understand that it is a prime location, but still…The staff were very friendly, I would have given less were it not for their good service. There are far better places to eat, I went on the Argus recommendation of the best fish and chips in Brighton, I won’t get fooled again.
