The Alexandra Practice -- NHS GP Surgery
The best GP practice I've ever been registered with. The online system is extremely efficient and effective, every online request I've made has received a same day, proactive + helpful response.Repeat prescription requests are effortless on the website, and are always ready at my nominated pharmacy within 48hours of my request.I requested to see a doctor due to a knee injury.. I was booked in to see the physio within 1 week of my request and had a thorough examination, diagnosis and received a personalised exercise and advice plan by email on the same day! I don't know if my expectations of any NHS service have dwindled, but I'll let you decide if that's quick!Any GP practice with poor reviews should just try to emulate whatever this practice are doing... The system, the receptionists and the clinical staff are all just working seamlessly together. Everyone is super nice too.Thank you Alexandra practice! :)

Have had multiple issues with this clinic since using them for the past year:1. Misdiagnosed earlier in the year resulting in complications that required further treatment and discomfort due to poor history taking/examination. Coming from a medical background, the doctor appeared to have made his mind up on diagnosis without fully getting a history or listening to my concerns, ignoring multiple historical statements and physical examination findings that should have been questioned further (i.e. level of discomfort).2. Nine month process of DVLA review that was a result of disorganisation by the practice (rather than the DVLA as they claimed) and was solved by a phone call that could have been done within a few weeks. In that time, unable to drive and consistent impact on day to day life. When eventually contacting me, the doctor seemed to not care about the fact that I had been waiting 9 months for this and that all that was required was a 10 minute phone call.3. Today went for repeat bloods (to be fair, was late to have but related to personal circumstances) but had advised them that I would be leaving the country and therefore unable to receive text message results and was happy to follow up back home. Instead asked to come in and then told when I arrived that there wasn't much point in getting the tests done. During this process, the nurse on said an inappropriate comment regarding my relationship and then proceeded to place the needle for bloods only to realise the tube she had was expired. She then left the needle in my arm during this process whilst going to find another one. Whilst I understand mistakes happen, this could have been mitigated by checking the expiry date prior to placing the needle. The overall statement I would say for the clinic is that they need some more LGBTQ+ inclusivity training, as both mistake 1 and 3 were both related to poor history taking due to assumptions or harmful stereotypes. The administration and general care by doctors, nurses and reception has been below standard and I would recommend finding elsewhere for medical care.

I have been registered with Alexandra practice last 20years. My review mostly based on recipient service but they are part of team. Its not is same is used to beI use the service maybe 1 or 2 times a year. Its been very good since Dr Greenaway was incharge. Really good Dr and caring. Since he left the practice is not the same. Recipient service is very rude like don't wanna speak to patient.when you really sick you can't use Mobile or computer. But she just through you out to pharmacy and online service. Pharmacy said you need GP and online service not taking anymore patients even i tried next morning at 730am saying we are full and not taking any more patients for the day.Lucky enough I have family member in pharmacist he gave me medicines I needed and I'm back to work after a week unwell.

Awful service, threatening vulnerable patients with removal if they raise concern about child appointment not givenGP’s are OK but staff coverupI was sent another patients private details, told them they argued and denied it, so raised with NHS as admin refused to listen.Nurse quite cold and unhelpful.Could not get appointment for child for three day, phoned up as form not working.Should be investigated as shady behaviour within.

Won't make an appointment on phone. Even when someone doesn't have time or access to make one online. Won't even make a advance appointment for 2 weeks ahead or whenever there is availability for a doctor. When you make a appointment, you have no idea when the doctor will call you. They expect you to sit around all day and and wait for their call. Can even give a time slot! Rubbish surgery, rubbish procedures, rinsing the NHS and reception staff is rude and unhelpful. Rarely leave bad reviews but this surgery has really reached low levels

Receptionists always not helpful at all. The system is an absolute joke, if you're not well after 10-11 am there is no way to speak with a doctor.Just avoid.

I had excellent experiences with Dr. Power and Dr. Berry . Both doctors heard all my concerns , I had all my blood tests and exams appointments very quickly and they were very kind with me (and my daughter). Dr. Power is always very accurated in her diagnosis. There is a kind blonde lady too (maybe a nurse ) who made some appointments for my daughter for vaccination last year ,she was adorable too.I have some reservations with the receptionist people though. Some of them are a little bit rude sometimes. However the clinic overall is really good for me.I can have appointments/exams in the same day and they are very kind and caring . I love the app to make the appointments.

The doctors are great, online services are advanced but the receptionists can be more welcoming, considerate & sympathetic.Update: Just spoke to Dr Sam and was given excellent advise for an ongoing medical issue. Dr was efficient and recommended me medicines based on my needs. All happen within 30 mins of using the online system to book an appointment.Another Update: My brother has a medical issue but the GPs not taking it seriously. Drs need to the utmost best for patients and resolve their health issues. Thanks a lot.

Very disappointed in the service.I had an appointment with Dr Sam Johnson. I have ADHD and PTSD I tried to communicate this to the doctor but he laughed in my face and denied me help.Dr Johnson literally laughed in my face and said you don't have ADHD

I’ve been a patient at this practice for a year now. Every experience with them has been negative. The staff are extremely rude and unaccommodating to patients. The doctors are very condescending and unresponsive to concerns, they have a tendency to neglect patients, allowing conditions to fester and worsen instead of tackling head on. Treatment here is very trial and error. Avoid this practice.
