Shelford Childcare

My daughter went to Shelford childcare from the age of 1-3 years. She loved going there and it was like a little family. The environment was stimulating. The staff were caring and friendly she made so many friends.She left as approaching school age and to be closer to home.

Both of my children attended Shelford childcare. My son from 8 months and my daughter from her first birthday. After almost 3 years I was very sad to be leaving. The service is amazing Joanna is absolutely wonderful and the children all love her. Mine still talk about when they were at JoNannas as they call her. She provides brilliant meals, outings and care. But also offers support not only to the children but the families too. I would recommend the service to any parent looking for childcare options.

We currently have two children at Shelford Childcare. We can't praise Joanna and the ladies enough. They have been amazing with our boys ever since our first visit during the start of COVID. Our boys love going there and will run to the car when we say 'it's time to go to Joannas house'. The activities we hear our boys have been doing and the pictures that we get are great. They are completely inclusive, one of our children has additional needs, and have been incredibly supportive. They have gone above and beyond with the support that they have provided us as a family in my eyes. Nothing is too much trouble. The meals the boys have eaten sound amazing and I wish I could stay to try! I would recommend to anyone who is looking for an amazing standard of childcare. Outstanding Ofsted rating is thoroughly deserved.

I feel so lucky to get a space here. Jo’s 20+ years of childcare experience and honours degree have established trust with me; a first parent. Moreover, I’m impressed that Jo cooks everything herself and even uses some herbs from her allotment. I have watched Keira grow in confidence and ability since she started, which I have no doubt is due to the nurturing and creative environment at Shelford Childcare. Just more than excellent!!!

Joanna and her team run an absolutely brilliant childcare facility, our little girl loves it and has been so happy there. They were great at settling her in after a quiet year due to covid, she loves going and has made great friends. The environment is really warm and there's a good balance of free play and learning. We feel lucky to have found it.

Shelford Childcare offer a kind, nurturing, supportive and educational setting for children to develop and flourish. The adult team are enthusiastic, and excellent at helping the children to settle, with endless ideas for activities and games. They provide a nutritious hot meal each day with a variety of healthy snacks for the children. I would not hesitate to recommend Joanna and her team to anyone looking for childcare in the local area.

Joanna and her staff have made my daughter feel so welcome since starting a month ago, very friendly and caring. Nothing seems too much trouble for Joanna, she goes above and beyond to help in any way she can to make hours/work patterns etc run as smoothly as possible. Would definitely recommend to any parent needing childcare.
