We've always had a great experience visiting, but most recently the staff excelled themselves.In record temperatures, they were clear and helpful about how they would keep the dogs cool, and watch for the effects of the heat.Whilst my dog was there I was involved in a car crash, and the staff were so thoughtful and genuine in their care that I wasn't concerned about my dog's well-being at all.The actual groom itself is always superb, with a full breakdown of what was done when collecting.I travel a little out of my way to come here, and will continue to as the experience is great.

Let down again. I have used this Groom Room for over 2 years and never had a problem. I've now been let down at very short notice for the 2nd time on the trot. The first time it happened I was promised an urgent cancellation. Nobody rang. The attitude on the phone was not helpful and one of not really caring.

Very caring groomers, especially for older less mobile dogs.I have a 12 yr old golden retriever & explained he couldn't stand for long & wouldn't be able to jump up due to weak legs. When I went to collect him the lovely girl was kneeling beside him on the floor to dry him as she said he was more comfortable like this. Been to other groomers who didn't take this trouble. A wash & blow dry was £25 for a golden retriever which I thought was fairly reasonable & booking your slot online made it even easier.

I have only ever written a handful of reviews on anything in my life but I feel so strongly today I have been compelled to disparage this groom room. Having had reasonable experiences over many years (albeit my dog has always been nervous going back into the salon after her first visit), my dog has come out today looking terrible! I was charged well over the odds on a so called matting charge, which has only ever been £5 on a rare occasion and was today charged at £10. I think I would have noticed if my dog was so matted and how bad can she be when she visits this salon regularly…It very much depends on who looks over your dog on arrival and some seem to base an opinion on the easiest way to get the job done…in this case shaving my dogs legs practically to the bone…tell me what was the charge for if she was just going to be completely shaven anyway?? She went in looking cute and fluffy and came out looking like a chicken for near on £60. There is one excellent and fair groomer working here, I believe her name is Liv…she should go out on her own, I would be very happy to use her privately.

Cancelled appointment at last minute, no apology or nothing would not recommend

I was reasonably happy with the service here but they kept cancelling my appointment without notifying me in advance. Very poor customer service and no apology or alternative appointment offered.

I am shocked at the prices they charge in here. I booked my yorkie in for a groom and was shocked that I had to pay £47! Bearing in mind I brought my dog with me at the time of booking, I was then blown away when I was told at his actual grooming appointment that I needed to pay a further £10 ‘matting’ fee. They should have told me this when they looked at my dog as I was booking him in. I wouldn’t mind however he was completely shaven all over practically down to skin, and I brush my dog regularly so his matts (if there were any) were barely even that bad.£57 to groom my Yorkshire terrier is daylight robbery and the girls didn’t even seem that interested in the customers or their pets.

Only giving one star because 0 isn't an option. I took my dog for his appointment but we were early so I stood and watched while we were waiting. I witnessed a distressed dog being blow dried which was clear he did not enjoy. I saw no acts of kindness or attempts to calm / soothe the dog and instead I witnessed the 'groomer' repeatedly pulling on the dogs ear saying a firm no". There were no treats offered to the dog in an attempt to help socialise him to the situation and it was clear that she wanted the job over and done with. Needless to say I spoke with a manager and left. I would never leave my dog here unattended if this is the treatment dogs recieve whilst customers are watching."

I booked a grooming appointment over 3 months ago! and was contacted the day before my grooming appointment, to be told my appointment was cancelled! No alternative appointment was offered and a very matter of fact response was given. I feel let down and disappointed as my dog is a nervous rescue and after over 3 grooming sessions she has only known this groomers! I will now have to start from scratch to help find somewhere she can feel less anixous & build trust again! Not good
