Went to Arte few months back as I wanted to change my black hair to a lighter colour. The stylist took a strand test but advised that they couldn't strip my hair due to the result of my strand test. I have since lightened my hair to a warm brown colour which is what I wanted. I have done this myself with bleach and it has lifted with no breakage and without damage to my existing hair. It is on this basis that I have decided to review this salon, giving 1star review. Any professional stylist in my opinion scared to touch black hair is not qualified to a high standard. Unsure why I was able to lighten my hair and they were unable to.

I went to Arte for a cut and blow dry and to reshape my hair as it didn't sit right when wearing my hair down, the stylist Linzi was really good and cut it exactly how I wanted it and my hair is looking and feeling good and I'm able to wear it down now, Linzi also gave me advice on how to lighten my hair without bleaching and damaging it, I am so happy with the service I received and my hair style, would definitely recommend, I will be returning , thank you Linzi

Excellent hairdressers. Very friendly and welcoming. Stylist Linzi is just great! Always manages to cut my hair just the way I like it. Wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Having just been to see Kate at Arte for the third time, I'm quite confident in singing her praises.I went for the first time with a somewhat questionable cut from previous hairdresser (still not sure if it was just too fashionable for me, or really bad!) and Kate's 'troubleshooting' solutions well very well received and executed.I really like the fact that she asks about what I've liked and not liked since I saw her last, and translates that into the cut. I've been consistently pleased with the results, not just in the immediate, post-salon haze, but also for the weeks after. That's a special kind of skill!!No hesitation in recommending Arte to anyone, and would deinately encourage anyone on the fence to give it a try :)

Lovely friendly staff cut my hair lovely and managed to fit me in short notice. Reasonably priced.

I have been going to Arte for a number of years now. I see the same stylist who does a wonderful job with my hair. All the ladies are very professional and friendly. I have also started having my colour done here and they have a great selection of colours

I have been going to Arte for about 9 years. I have always found everyone who works there very friendly and professional. I am happy for any of the stylists to cut and colour my hair because they have always done a fantastic job. The fact that I still go after 9 years is proof of that.
