ISP Fostering - Bromsgrove

I joined ISP Fostering in November 2022 as a Fostering Advisor/Education Co-Ordinator. I was previously a foster parent for a different IFA for 4 years. My transition in to this role was made easier by the warm welcome of the team and support offered by all including the management. Working with the families and children makes me very happy, knowing that I am able to offer support, guidance and encouragement to those families I support. With 4 years of fostering experience this is a huge benefit to my role, it allows me to understand the challenges faced by our hard working fostering families. Its a honour to be part of a wonderful team and look forward to many more years working with ISP Bromsgrove and our families.

A very friendly and inviting team which makes all new members feel welcome. Whether you are a newbie like myself or someone with long experience you are all equally valued. There are people from all different cultures and walks of life. Staff are very knowledgeable and very keen to help and ensure your life as a foster carer is made easy. There are always snacks available or food arranged for longer training sessions so you will never need to go out to eat during breaks.You do really feel part of big team and fully supported.

I started working for ISP in April 2022 as a supervising social worker and I can honestly say it has been a pleasure working for such an amazing therapeutic agency. All the staff and foster parents are fantastic and a pleasure to work alongside.

The staff team, families and young people are wonderful and I thoroughly enjoy working with them all. I feel valued, appreciated, supported and listened to, and I genuinely love doing what i do.

After years of carrying out Independent Social Work for ISP and liking the ethos and therapeutic nature of the agency, I decided to work permanently for them this year as a Fostering Social Worker and thoroughly enjoy my role! ISP Midlands have an amazing set of foster parents, and a supportive staff team, always going above and beyond to ensure that the families and children they care for are both well supported and looked after. The agency has a family feel whereby everyone looks after each other, and events are celebrated together. The agency is very child focused, and both the families and staff are a credit to the important role of fostering.

Transferred across nearly two years ago now and it was a wise move. Have felt very supported by our SSW and have had the same one for nearly the whole time, which really helps as you are able to build a good relationship, they know you and your children and less change/disruption for the children. A friendly, welcoming team. Im happy to be a part of ISP I have had so much help and support from everyone not just for my foster child but for me too. Regular meetings with my social worker and the team of foster carers are I'm place so we can all have a chat and share our highs and lows to help and support one each other. Regular training days help keep our minds refreshed and it's another way to be with other carers to share experiences. There are therapists that can help as well. Saves waiting in the system for years! And this has been a massive help for not only me but my foster child too. The agency specialises in therapeutic parenting, I find this is a great way to engage with my child. The whole team is a blessing and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
