Gable end Mural

Beautiful, bright, bold and very in keeping with this stunning part of the coastline. A fitting tribute to the heritage of Morecambe Bay. Wonderful.

There are interesting murals all around Morecambe that show us glimpses of its past. This is the biggest at four stories high and definitely the brightest with its bold primary colour palette.It is fun and vibrant and even when you think you know it well if you sit back and admire the mural you will spot something you hadn't seen before or gain a new perspective.If you are walking along the promenade it is worth heading to the Sandylands patch to see it in person. If walking to it isn't an option then there is usually roadside parking available in the vicinity. The beach here is sandy and allows dogs all year and is an excellent place to kick a ball, build a sandcastle or fly a kite. When the tide is in fishermen (and probably women) set up their rods on the small jetty but this isn't advised during adverse weather conditions when waves crash over the jetty.If you appreciate murals then this is a must-see!
