HSS Hire

Called 5 times and left 4 voice mails for a collection of a scaffold. No one has returned the call. Hss can find the scaffold them self when they come to collect it from site as I have been more then co operative. Wouldn't use these guys again!

After trying on two separate days to call in myself, we got the apprentice to do it the third attempt just to see how long HSS Bedford would keep people on hold for…. 42 minutes, 18 seconds… in a weird way I’m kind of impressed! Still, hired from Brandon Tool Hire instead

Went to collect a floor sander as per online order, money has been taken from account. Arrived in store and told they don’t have any of the stock. Been told will be contacted regarding a refund. Shocking that moneys taken from your account before they can even check stock levels. Will be escalating.

Perfect place to rent any tools that you need. Simple procedure and fast. I found HSS hire the cheapest £ tool renting on the area. Thumbs-up for HSS

Well what can i say HSSWell what can i say HSS. Reading the reviews now i wish id never used you at all. Your customer services is shocking, your staff lie ( before you defend them this is fact and have proof) Spoke to Nick today a regional director?? after almost 2 nonths of chasing you regarding breach of contract. So so far im out of pocket £500.00 plus my time and phone calls to yourselves. Ordered a stair climber by email, and followed up with a phone call to your Bedford branch for the day before i needed it, this was confirmed on the phone that it would be delivered to my warehouse from 1 oclock on the day i asked. so i had a member of my staff wait at the warehouse for the afternoon. Did i mention i paid him aswell that isnt in the £500.00? It didnt turn up i called to be told it was ordered for the next day, i told the woman to check the email and she confirmed she had put the wrong date down. So she guaranteed delivery to site the next morning before 10 am. Guess what?? No delivery after several phone call to Bedford and customer service it turned up at 3.30pm Myself and 2 employees had sat around in front of my customer all day, not a very good company image, my customer also gives us alot of work with companies such as Electrolux in Dunstable. luckily for you they understood it wasnt our fault as you would have had a big lawsuit against you if we had lost there contract.Anyway after being fobbed off several times by Micheal Coughan your regional manager and customer services i finally got a call from NIck today to be told we wont being paying you anything back. So looks like HSS dont give a s--t about anyone apart from themselves.Now looks like itll have to be the legal route for me which IF i win will cost them alot more for my time and court fees.This company doesnt care about there customers so if you want to hire anything in future look at some of the smaller hire companies.HSS dont bother copy and pasting your reply and send the details to your customer service team, give me the managing directors email and i may send hi,m an emailWell what can i say a letter to the managing director Mr Ashmore and guess the reply!!!!!!!!!! nothing so looks like now i will have to seek legal advice to get back my out of pocket expenses. Read HSS terms and conditions before you hire they are all geared to favour themselves, they want compensation for everything in there terms but dont think they should pay out when there at fault

Please go somewhere else for your tool needs. I picked up a saw on Friday for the weekend. The guy was rude for no apparent reason. Same guy was there when I dropped it back on Monday morning. Even more rude. For no apparent reason. At least hire people who are friendly with customers. I need to hire the saw again for another weekend as I did not finish the work. I will be going elsewhere however.

Hired a hose and pressure washer online. When I arrived to collect my order I was told by a staff member that no stock was available. At no point had HSS been in contact with me to advise me there was an issue with my order. Took three attempts and three weeks to get a full refund via the online chat. I'd recommend avoiding this company, terrible service.

Do not use this company.I hired a Breaker for a day and they gave me one that did not work and charged me £500 but should of cost £83 and i was charged a collection fee twice for another breaker. Drill bits were too worn out so it made the job slower. The price you end up paying kept going up from the initial cost when you get to the shop.Then they took about a week to give my money back. found another company half the price

Hired disc cutter for a weekend for £19 been provided with dirty tool, returned as dirty as collected and been charged £20 for cleaning. Never to use again, if i could i would leave -5 starsMy suggestion if you can hire tools elsewhere and avoid hss.
