Welcoming staff, good products, variety okay enough for my brief stay in bankside.

Always very rude. I just for accused of being ‘too drunk to serve’ I had had a drink of wine so went to get more. My behaviour was not in anyway rude or clumsy. I was made to feel like I was a disgrace

Very loud rap music rood staff shelves not well stocked .shop lifters paradise guy walked in helped himself to sandwich and drinks and just walked out unchallenged

Narrow walkways between the shelves. The organic assortment is limited. Most staff are not knowledgeable. The self checkout counters do not work that well. Prices are decent.

Went to get a few things on 16 February 2019 at about 7pm with my husband. There was no attendant at any of the manned tills and half the self-help tills were out of order. We dutifully used one of the few remaining self-help tills available but the machine had problems scanning each of our items and kept stopping and automatically asking for an attendant to come and help. The attendant had to come 4 separate times in just a few minutes to use her card and reset the machine so we kept having to start all over again, rescanning every item that had not been taken into account by the machine. We were told to put our scanned goods in the bag area but the latter started playing up too, not recognising the weight of our items and causing the machine to stop again. The attendant could have easily taken over from us or taken us to another till or used one of the manned tills to scan our products herself but she did nothing and kept telling us that we were not using the till correctly! We have used similar tills before and never had such problems! There was clearly a fault with that one but the attendant did nothing to help us as such and just kept saying that we were not using it properly and that we had now put too many items on the bag area which was utterly ridiculous as we had not even filled our bag! In despair, we just ended up leaving all our shopping behind and went straight to Sainsbury's Local opposite where there is always a helpful, friendly staff member ready to scan our goods, bag them and help us with the self-help tills whenever the manned ones are too busy, scanning our items themselves without us needing to ask. What a difference! Back in our Wiltshire village we have a Tesco Express where we do all our shopping and where there is always plenty of staff any time of day to help. They are friendly and very helpful. What a difference to your store in Southwark! We will never visit it again.

Run by morons. Evening employees don't know the difference between 22:45 and closing time. Lunchtime cashiers are too busy talking to each other or the security guard to listen to what you are saying. Go to Sainsburys opposite.

Double check the price of reduced/yellow label items, they will often not be the correct price as stated and you will be overcharged. Whether they do this trick customers, or because of their own ineptitude, who knows. Go elsewhere if you can.

Rubbish attitude. Not interested in helping or apologizing. Treats everyone as an obstacle to the wage wait. Makes one wonder did they apply for job outta wish or forced to otherwise benefits would be reduced. Shop regularly Tesco long lane the difference is night n day. There is all smiles from seasoned pros to Saturday helpers. Wish could do a minus 10 star score. Actually left sore with a bad, sad taste in my mouth.
