Manu was recommended to me by a colleague a few years ago. I have used him now for a number of pianos at work as well as on my own piano. He is a fabulous technician, able to transform a piano’s sound and touch. Explains carefully everything that he is doing and the results speak for themselves. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs a piano to be serviced.

Manu carried out extensive repairs on my 1929 Bechstein Model L, namely: repair of a crack on the tuning pin board, a complete restring, and an overhaul of the action, including new hammers. The result is that the piano sounds better than it ever has while in my possession. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who has need of his professional skills.

After having my 19 year old Mark IV Disklavier upgraded to Enspire with the DKC 900, I decided to have it serviced because the mechanism had become heavy and ‘lumpy’ in places. The Disklavier played well but I knew it now needed a service. However, I wanted the right person for the job: the best person and I found him! Emmanuel came highly recommended and I now wish to add to that list.To begin, Emmanuel lubricated and adjusted the sustain pedal, which I realise, has never been as responsive as it is now.He then spent a few hours easing the keys and regulating the action which, because I’d never had the piano serviced, I didn’t realise just how uneven it had become.Being my usual inquisitive self, I asked Emmanuel questions at various stages and he was only too pleased to demonstrate what each process involved and how it would impact the sound and performance of my piano.Emmanuel then focussed on voicing and tuning my piano. The tone had always been bright but over time had become quite harsh, especially when playing ‘forte’. I cannot believe the difference this process has made to the tone of the piano. Not only is the piano easier to play, but the keys are more responsive and I can now achieve a greater, controlled dynamic range with such a beautiful, even tone. Due to the balance and adjustment of the keys, fast, scalic, melodies and ornamentation can be performed with ease and musicality.Emmanuel worked relentlessly on the piano for 8 hours, stopping only briefly for his lunch. His experience, dedication, commitment and enjoyment in what he does is so evident. I wanted the best person for the job and I certainly found him, Emmanuel Kerro.My Disklavier has been rejuvenated - it’s like a different instrument and my enjoyment in playing it has been energised and gone to another level.Thank you, Emmanuel. Bought a 16 year old semiconcert grand piano that apparently had a full action regulation and rebuild. Even my amateur fingers could detect that the action wasn't working as well as it could and the dampers were very uneven for all the strings on the bass bridge. Couldn't find anyone local to me who was reliable or confident enough to take the work on.Manu pitched up for two whole days and sorted everything out beautifully. He showed me clearly where the dealer's full action regulation/rebuild" was deficient and ended up fixing the mistakes found as well as ensure the regulation was back to factory standard. The dampers are working evenly and he also voiced the piano and tuned it (the tuning is absolutely fabulous but you need only look at his FB page to see some of the pianos he looks after to know the tuning was always going to be concert perfect).I am running out of superlatives to use here so will simply say Manu has carried out all his work for me with quiet professionalism. Manu is an excellent piano technican who made my Bluthner singing beautifully again. He also corrected some minor problems with a few keys making additional sound. Each time I play my piano now my heart is smiling, I'm enjoying playing my Bluthner again, which was rebuilt 5 years ago and completely lost it's original sound. I am really happy with Manu service! His tuning was also different from my usual tuner. I certainly can recommend Manu to anyone who needs a good voicing or tuning of piano.
