Hungerford Service Centre Ltd

After spending £900 on a service and mot in June (less than 1000 miles ago) I have just had to spend £1600 on a new gearbox and clutch as there was no oil left (which an oil leak on gearbox was recorded on mot advisory!) my new garage of choice had said if the oil level had been checked/topped up this would not of occurred. Very disappointed and will not be recommending this garage.

Have used them a few times for full service inc cambelt change and Mot, very friendly, approachable, knowleageable and very honest. Its very hard to find a trust worthy garage, and Hungerford Service centre is exactly that. Won’t take my car anywhere else now!

amazing amazing service from the guys at Hungerford Service Centre. we broke down on the M4 and limped to Hungerford. they diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and fitted it within 4 hours meaning we could continue our journey the same day. we are incredibly grateful for them going above and beyond! brilliant service and incredibly friendly - definitely recommend!!!

I've never used this place before for my Classic 1984 Porsche but as it was close to my storage unit I dropped it in for an MOT. The car has passed pretty much with no advisories for 15 years - then suddenly here it failed on lots of issues and accumulated a page long of advisories. I won't got into each point but after taking the car away and paying their bill I took it to a Porsche expert who has maintained the car for 10 yrs - and they re-mot the car, and it passed with no issues. I know each mot tester has his own opinions but some of the points were so petty as to be laughable (not just my opinion either)...When I picked up the car, the headlight covers were not fixed on, screws were left dumped on the back seat and had fallen down - leaving me to have to hunt for them. A leather strap that they failed the car on was purchased and I found was never fitted (was on back seat).the headlights they failed it on has been over wound, resulting in me having to pay for them to be reset.They seemed a friendly approachable setup but I question whether they tried to milk me for as much as they could, as car passed as it's always done with another mot station, or they just were not geared up to deal with this car. Whatever the truth, I will not be using them again for any work or advise, nor will I recommend them.It would be 1 star other than the fact they dropped me off which was appreciated.

The best service centre I have known since I was a twenty-something with my first little old mini which was looked after by the local garage where we lived, whose staff maintained all Dad's various yehicles over several decades. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else now, whatever make or model I happened to be driving.

Of all service stations I've been to around the UK, this was the least convenient and not clean, outside or inside. Sad!

Excellent service. For care and quality, they totally outclass the BMW garage in Hungerford. Prices are good, but they won't take shortcuts. Also, all extremely pleasant guys who make the non-mechanic feel comfortable.Would definitely recommend.

By far one of the best garages I have ever taken my car to. Top quality service by everyone involved & great workmanship, reasonably priced & will go out of there way to help / accommodate if any way possible. Could not reccomend them enough & will continue to use there services

Took car in for MOT, great friendly service from start to finish, excellent value and a great job done. Will 100% use again.

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID! CON ARTISTS!My wife took my family car here in a panic as the MOT had expired the month before and she had not realised this. The car failed on 4 different areas, to which i was very suprised as we only had it serviced a few months back. I returned from my holiday and took the car to my regular “trustworthy” mechanic. He ran the same MOT test to which the car passed with flying colours. My mechanic has informed me that this is not the first time he has heard of this particular garage doing this to vulnerable customers.AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! CON MEN!
