James photographed our wedding at Fort Henry in October 2015. We are so pleased that we chose James to do the photos for our wedding. His ability to capture natural situations has given us photos that we'll treasure forever. He was unobtrusive, knowledgeable and very easy to work with both in the run-up to the wedding and on the day. The photos that we have are of the highest quality, and the video slideshow was perfectly composed; we couldn't be happier and wouldn't hesitate to recommend James to anyone else! Thank you so much.

James filled in for our photographer at very short notice after she caught Covid just before our big day. We feel so lucky that James was able to do this, he changed his own personal plans to help save our day and he helped make the day perfect! James was great and the photos are incredible, we couldn't be happier! Highly recommend booking him, he was so lovely to have with us on the day and nothing was too much trouble and the images he captured were just perfect!

Amazing is an understatement! James knows how to capture the most perfect shots and seems to have an ability to be in all of the right places at the right times! Having seen James' previous work, we had absolutely no hesitation in using him to capture the memories of our day. He blends in seamlessly with the hectic goings on, manages to control the noisy groups effortlessly and delivers some of the most breathtaking shots. I never imagined we could look so good!! While we were waiting for the hundreds of pictures to be ready for viewing, we were delighted and surprised when he sent us a 15 minute slideshow of his favourites, set to our music. This was a fantastic preview of what was yet to come. The pictures were so beautiful that we really did have a difficult time narrowing down our favourites for the album. The choices of album were yet another difficult task; there are beautiful choices to be had and our's has pride of place on our coffee table, with the miniature versions being great additions for the parents as Christmas presents! Exceptionally professional, caring and motivated, we would wholeheartedly recommend James to anyone, for any event; James and his skills are worth his weight in gold. Book him now, you won't regret it!

James did our wonderful wedding photography at Chatsworth last year. He knew the venue very well which I feel is always a great advantage. Things with him ran so smoothly, we got some truly breathtaking shots and he really made us feel relaxed on the day and not rushed at all. There were 4 young children in the wedding party who he treated with patience enabling us to capture everything we could've ever hoped for. We had so many compliments about his style of work on the day, and of course on the finished product!!

James took our wedding Pictures at Chatsworth March 2016. I love the photos and the video, he really captured the day perfectly, so many natural shots showing how happy we are, we really didn't mind the rain, the pictures look great regardless. James captured the light beautifully! I love how many funny faces of me he managed to get, I'd said to everyone I would look composed and perfect a graceful smile for the day but there I am grinning like mad and opening my mouth like a goon, brilliant, if we'd stood about posing for all of them we'd never have got all those lovely moments. He was relaxed and friendly and put us at ease. Definitely recommend, especially if you're a fan of the more documentary, natural style photos.

James is an outstanding photographer and I would recommend him to anyone, for any occasion. He captured our forest wedding in 2012 perfectly, despite the worst weather for decades! He took the time to meet up with us before the wedding and gave us the time to describe exactly what we wanted from him; from the beginning we felt entirely confident that he would do his very best to capture the day as we wanted, while giving us a gentle, creative push in the right direction, with suggestions that worked perfectly! Most guests at the wedding didn't even notice the photographs being taken and those that did thought he was just another guest with a very impressive camera! James has the ability to put even the most self conscious person at ease with a relaxed manner and genuine interest in what makes people tick. Fantastic!

I cannot recommend James Stuart enough… He is kind, considerate and professional. His photographs are absolutely amazing and he knows how to capture a moment that will last forever. His unobtrusive style mean that we felt at ease, we barley knew he was around but he managed to capture our day perfectly.We used James for a pre wedding shoot and brought along our Dalmatian, Poppy.
